Was very proud of the Toon Army last night ! All you could hear was us and the odd " Come On Fulham" . Shame the team performance didn't match the crowds .
Very loud and kept on singing throughout the 90 minutes, shame they weren't rewarded... Talking of support , did the mackems come dressed as empty seats on Tuesday?
Aye, I was pretty chuffed hearing the travelling lads making all the noise last night. We're going through a blimp at the minute, and we have a severley reduced striking capability. But every teams goes through one at some point in the season. Things are looking bleak, but we've got guys on the way back (Super Cheik) and things will start looking up! HWTL
Haven't you noticed the chant of most London teams is "Come on (whatever the team is)", I personally have always liked Fulham and there supporters, among the friendliest in the Country.
I had a wonderful view at Fulham. Right at the end of the row behind Fulham's main stand (the one with the dugouts) so when everyone stood up I couldn't see the touchline down that entire side. It was bloody freezing there too with the wind off the Thames coming in through that damn gap. Other than it was decent enough with all our fans but the team's performance was ****ing ****.
Stupid time for the KO too, 8:00 pm and not getting back to Newcastle till after 4:00 am. Cost me ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã17 for a taxi home on top of all the other expenses for the day. The FA need to think about the travelling fans when arranging start times.
Did you go on the bus or train? I was alright because I had relatives I could stay with and drove back today but they are stupid for travelling fans. The Premier League don't really give a toss about the fans aslong as they get the TV money unfortunately.
Went with some mates who aren't from Newcastle, don't think they expected to be standing the whole 90 minutes.
Train yesterday at 2pm, got there for 5. Got in the hotel eventually which was ****, 4 in a room with just 3 beds, the floor it was for one of my mates. Got over to Fulham, met Beardsley and overseasTOON, shame I didn't get to meet Rokkudan. Went for a 'night out' in a pub, which shut at like 11pm. Went into a cocktail bar until 12pm with the lads and OT, who was very kind to buy us all a drink. With me being 19, I got told I couldn't go on the weekends because it was 21 only, I said it was fine, Im going home tomorrow thank ****. We then went to Earls Court to catch another train but missed the last one, so taxi over to Trafalgar square, driving past Buckingham Palace with the drunk lads shouting get ya rat oot out the window, as well as going past all the other main sites in London. We then couldn't decide whether it was casino or night out, we couldn't agree so back to Kings Cross we went, OT decided he was staying in our bath. We got back to the hotel, and there must have been a school trip, or college, from Italy, who were making noise in the corridor, so we went to see what was going on, a lad and a lass were struggling to get into their room with their card key, I tried to help but it wouldn't work, one of my mates offered them to come into our room as the lass was quite nice, banter obviously. We then went in search of another pillow from our other mates, we even asked the Italians who were crowding up the corridor but no response, we did get one from our mates. I then heard more noise in the corridor, I looked through the peep hole and there were 3 blokes standing there. I opened the door, and they asked us to stop knocking on doors and harassing their girl pupils, we laughed in amazement, they said if we didn't stop they would go to reception, one lad told them to **** off which didn't help. They came back with a bloke from reception who's English was ****, we were outnumbered and couldn't get our point across as they just couldn't understand, they threatened us with harassment and calling the police if we didn't stop. We laughed again, but we just said OK, we will go back in, we shook hands and that was that. Although the teachers(both with Coloccini hair) were knocking on all the rooms around ours to make sure their students were OK, kept pointing at our door. We saw him in the morning, the **** just looked at us, we smiled and just said Morning. Bloody foreigners!
