Well, as offender-in-chief, I made a point of saying sorry for any offence yesterday. If that's not good enough then tough scheisse.

It is, at the end of the day, a football forum and as such is designed to give people a chance to debate from different viewpoints.

If people are going to play the "I'm upset, too upset to post any more because someone didn't agree" and get the mods :police: involved, then in all honesty, we're better off without them.

Fraser Forster as emergency backup cover, anyone ? <whistle>

In the end, everyone on here is treated the same way. If we post something others don't agree with, they tell us so (certainly have with me!).
Opinions on different subjects differ, that's the point, as Cromer said, of debating here. Nobody intends to cause offence I'm sure.
Anyway, probably time to say 'goodbye' to this thread now, isn't it?

In fairness to YC, she did not ask for any intervention of any kind and I agree that we will not always share the same viewpoints but the manner in which some expressed themselves was less than friendly lets say.
I took it upon myself to highlight that you had upset someone, one of our own, and then some went a step further.

I would urge everyone to read the rules on this thread as they have been updated

Especially the bit that says - Basic standards for us has to involve levels of respect for others and the need to avoid personal insults with particular regard to our human differences on gender, age, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation; and religious and/or political beliefs.
