Seeing as I’ve been told through out this thread that a person of my age, fitness and physique shouldn’t wear a kit, I don’t give a sh1t. That’s the kit for me :)

Ps. Can one of you pretentious ( :) ) and trendy fellas just let me know what branded clothing it is ok to wear to the matches these days, it would be much appreciated. Guidance on whether jeans, corduroy, stay-press or Farah is best would also be of benefit. You know, I’m not quite so cool or down with the dudes (or bros) these days, so any help would be sic (or is it sick or happening?).

Loakes? I doubt many football fans have heard of Loakes. Timberland, Kickers and Rockport yes. At a stretch Jeffrey West. They don;t know quality shoes brands just fashion brands.

One day I will grace the terrace in a pair of Lobb or Vass.

I’m no businessmen but why do we always reveal our new kits so late it makes no sense to me. surely the earlier you put it on sale the more you are going to sell therefore more revenue , not just in England but worldwide. I mean does anyone really get that excited about a football shirt these days anyway? Or have i got this all backwards .

I do not know for certain but my guess would be it's not down to the club but down to the manufacturer..... my guess would be they prioritise the 'biggest clubs' and any that fit a 'template', before concentrating on clubs like little Southampton last
 
I think Saints are Under Armour's only UK team now? Villa ended their contract early with them to have their kit made by Luke 1977 (giggle)

Timing. Find the right time to launch the kit when spirits are high. That was not when fans were twitching over the new manager announcement. Announce it when fans have the most goodwill and you may get a few extra sold on the crest of a good News wave.

My guess is it will be the day after we announce our £20m CB, £30m attacking midfielder and our £40m new striker.
