I’ve never understood why people bring up when the window opens. The date when the window opens is (and always has been) irrelevant. Transfers can still be negotiated and announced before then, it’s just that the formalities can’t be completed, paperwork filed etc until the window opens. Liverpool announced their imminent signing of Keita last summer ffs!
