I only caught some of the second half of the play off final, but thought Grealish looked good.
I seem to remember he had some bad press in the past, but could be worth dangling a carrot now Villa have missed out on promotion.

IT depends how Saints handle it, They haven't handled it great thus far.. But he is deffo a decent Left back.. And deserves his chance.

If Bertrand goes we will sign another LB I'd imagine. It doesn't seem like we have lots of faith in Targett or McQueen and I think one of them (more likely McQueen) will go this summer regardless of Bertrand

The other option is to keep Target on loan to get premier league experience for next season. We buy in another top quality left back with McQueen as backup. Chelsea seem to do this quite effectively!
 
It's a shame. but do we see Targett as having a future here. I always like our own lads to come good, but he's been marginalised. Relegation would probably have increased the chance of him staying as we wouldn't have to spend money on a LB, but now surely Hughes would like to have some money to play with. Whether he goes to Fulham will depend solely on whether they want him at the price we'd want. Love to be proved wrong though.

I imagine if Bertrand goes we will buy another LB instead, and keep McQueen as his back up. So Targett, a young, English LB who's porven he's decent enough. Probably £15 million ish range I reckon!

Firstly, congratulations on getting back into the grubby world of the Premier League.

I'd like to keep Targett and hope our management do also but it wouldn't surprise me to see him sold. As you are not Liverpool, I think we could do you a fair deal.
 
I'd be surprised if we kept Targett. The lack of attention paid suggests that we don't consider him a big part of the future, and I'd imagine that both he and Fulham would like a permanent deal as a result.

I wasn't even going to suggest half that. £6m or £7m is top-end of my thinking.
