Liverpool need to play 'perfect' match Former Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso, who won the Champions League with both Liverpool and Real Madrid, told AFP: "I think that to win, Liverpool will have to play an almost perfect match and will have to prepare everything in every detail, analysing all the strengths and weaknesses of Madrid and how to tackle them. "I don't think Madrid will change the way they play for Liverpool. I think they've had a very specific way of playing in recent years, and the players know how to orchestrate it very well. In fact, it's in the big games that they're the best, and I'm sure we'll see a great Real Madrid in the final."
Did you see the interview with Kenny and Souness about their finals... Souness saying he was dressed up to the nines in the changing room post match as the rest trudged in muddied to the hilt and Moran told him to help picking up the laundry as he was part of the team lol.... could you imagine the players now...think they'd faint.
Surely he'd come off the bench at most? Can't see us disrupting the balance of the team to accommodate him.
Cynical thoughts on Can but put it this way, I’d rather have him on the bench as an option than not given our lack of midfield. he wont start, hasn’t played for 3 months but if he helps us win then couldn’t care less
