6 full backs - blokes a ****ing idiot. 4 of them probably won't kick a ball. Waste of two squad places.
It does look a bit inbalanced. I think we're wasting Walker if he's going to play Centre Back. I'd have Delph as one of the midfield two, Henderson and Dier are a bit too similar. Lingard over Alli aswell. We couldn't have hoped for much better though, unfortunately it's about the best we've got these days!
You'd be surprised how many of Salah, Firmino and Mane's goals are started from a deep Henderson pass.
The Henderson dislike is ridiculous at times, guy has a great engine, and has a great pass on him. Yes he's not full of flicks and tricks etc. but he's excellent at the donkey work and is surprisingly good at starting attacks from deep.
You don't get into the CL league final by having a ****e CM.
He's ****ing dog ****e mate and of course you can reach a final carrying **** players, espescially with an attack so strong.
Mate I watch him every week, he's not dog ****e.
He's been so vital to us this season. You don't captain Liverpool and England if you're dog ****e ffs!
He's just not got the party tricks, he's not a MOTD type player. Watch him week in week out and you'll change your mind - 100%.
Dier does everything Henderson can do and yet also defend well and be a threat in the box from set pieces. Henderson's an ok player but playing him with Dier - which Southgate will likely do - is just pointless. Alongside Dier we need someone who can drive forward, RLC is the best option from those selected but it won't happen.
Henderson is in front of Dier in that position. He'll either play both (most likely) or play Henderson and another.
I know you don't like him but I would have Wilshere in for that reason. Gamble yes but the guy is streets ahead of our other midfielders technically.

He's no Gerrard, admittedly. But he's so underrated by fans of other teams.
80% of that is because he's just not a MOTD player.
I'm not too sure, I think Southgate's come to really rate Dier. Would be silly if he thought otherwise anyway, Dier is definitely better than Henderson, nothing against the latter but it's true.
