If the only pleasure I could get from supporting my club is talking about events that happened before I was born or when I was too young to appreciate the success, then it would be a shallow existence indeed. At least I can remember Leicester winning trophies and finishing in the top ten on a regular basis, so taking criticism from Leeds, and particularly Forest, fans is hard to take seriously!
Regarding cliqués, there's nothing cliquéd about saying only now matters - do you think Ferguson at Man U will turn around and say "well lads, we've won enough trophies now, let's live on our past glories!"? Of course not! You're club is only as good as you're current standing. And no club deserves to be regarded better than their current standing because they were "big a few years back."
