There’s nothing wrong with people supporting a club in an area they move to, it’s the assertion that a kid should be obliged to change the club they support that’s a nonsense.

Just over ten years ago I contemplated moving to London and if junior (who’s been a City pass-holder since he was six) had announced that he was switching to being an Arsenal fan, I’d have dropped him at the nearest orphanage.

My lad switched from Arsenal to Hull City when he was six, on moving back North. I’ve deleted his number off my phone.
