I didn’t call them a ‘big money club’. I said 3 recent ‘big money’ signings of £18.3m, £18m and £12m had done eff all.
Those big money signings funded by a low net spend?

Clearly you're going to quibble over the meaning of recent, but I hardly call 15/16 ancient history.

And you didn't actually call them big money signings, you talked about big money getting the club nowhere.

Swings and roundabouts, some signings pay off, some don't.

Joe Allen (£13m) has been one of their better players this season, Shaqiri (£12m) is excellent and though they've spunked money on players like Wimmer, they've balanced it out by getting over £20m for a player that cost them £2m.

I don’t know what point either of you are trying to make. I mentioned nothing about sales of other players or net spend.

Agreed. Some of my most enjoyable times as a City fan were during bad times, in the company of fellow fans to whom success and tbe PL were not the only yardsticks.

Just a shaje that AP couldn't take us to the PL with the feel good factor there was during his time.
AP couldn't take us to the PL as he wouldn't bankrupt the club to do it. Duffendidnt care about that

Amazing how differently I see that. AP's money man said no more. Duffens money man errr didn't have any.

As an aside you may assume I am not in the "Saint Adam of Pearson" club.

A few weeks ago, there was some praying that rumours of a consortium headed by Maclaren might be interested on Hull City.... reading today, thats a definite no as Maclaren has been lined up to replace Holloway at QPR...

Not sure why GDPR necessitates the collection of more data than they currently hold.

No one else is seeing it as an opportunist data collection scam.
