I think regardless of whether the roles were reversed or not, the incident should have been investigated after the race. I think though, it was just a racing incident. Kobayashi was alongside him but couldn't hit the brakes anymore or turn left and he just tried to re-pass Hamilton (as he does)but Hamilton was looking in the wrong mirror, was taking the racing line, but looking in the direction of the corner he was about to go into

Everybody knows that Kobayashi never gives up and nearly always tries to repass when overtaken, Hamillton made a school boy error and assumed Koby was done for, and as we all know assumption is the mother of all **** ups.

Why is it Lewis has been involved in one way or another so many accidents this year?

Is he becoming THE CRASH KID?

A racng incident, Hamiltons fault though for assuming he was long passed Kamui, and Kamui's race was pretty much ruined after. and ab, the situation with Hamilton/Konay isn't the same as Webber/Vettel, as Hamilton had the whole track and could've stayed on his line, where as in Turkey the replays show Webber was continually pushing Vettel onto the grass and had left Vettel no option.

edit: becoming the crash kid? he always was, he'd already crashed more times than Vettel previous to this season.

The inconsistency in opinion is bizarre. When Hamilton and Button came together, Hamilton was deemed to not have a right to be there, Button clearly didn't see him and was within his rights to take the line.

Hamilton takes the line and it's his mistake for not looking in his mirrors. Opinion on who is in the wrong can seem to be applied depending on how Hamilton is involved.

Hamilton/Button you can argue the spray made visibility hard, and I would agree that Hamilton shouldn't have been there... But today, you really can't pin it on Hamilton. Two drivers hit... End of... But as usual, people want their pound of flesh.

That's an excellent point, in Canada, Hamilton was up the inside (not far enough to make a pass like Kobi today) and him and Button collided, and Hamilton got the blame. Hamilton was ahead of Kobi coming into the corner, Kobi did not need to brake that late, so therefore Kobi had no right to be there and yet there is a debate about whos fault it was??

I'd still call it a racing incident because Hamilton could of looked in his mirrors but Kobi is just as much to blame.

Amazing Miggins, once again you have somehow managed to blame Webber for something no-one even cares about or is talking about. Your abilities astound me. But while we're on the subject, Vettel drifted right. End of story.

You make a mistake and Hamilton goes for it, he's a racer. Last season Vettel was involved in a lot of incidents, so was Schumi in his older days (and some with Mercedes), maybe that's what makes a good racer one that takes chances and goes for every opportunity and risks?

Kobi is not to blame at all, what can he do if someone who is supposed to be turning right decides to move left instead? And don;t try and compare it to Canada, you didn't have the spray to contend with, Hamilton ****ed up, pure and simple. Yes the onus is on the overtaking driver, but you can't blame him if he keeps his car in a straight line.

Lizard, Vettel had 2 accidents last season, how many did Lewis have?

I think the argument is not that he should have braked as Hamilton moved over because yeah unless he had a parachute no way he could have braked in time, the argument is more Koba shouldn't have been in that position at that part of the track, there was no way he was going to get past him and must of known at some point Hamilton was going to move across. Fault on both drivers part, just frustrating when one driver comes off worse than another but hey ho. Nothing can be done about it now, just hope Kobi learns to be more careful of trying to get past drivers on the outside, and Hamilton remembers to use his mirrors more!!!

He can't be expected to back off because Hamilton assumes he is ahead but doesn't check his mirrors. Unless Hamilton was a full car length ahead of Kobayashi, he shouldn't have moved across and turned into Kobayashi.

I really have no interest in arguing the point over a racing incident that stewards saw no reason to investigate. As I stated in my first response... I'm just glad that there was no injury.

Never said Hamilton didn't, saying Vettel is involved in incidents as well, other winning drivers are. The argument is an answer to the question why Hamilton is involved

Well Button has done the most overtakes this year and has not hit anyone while doing so, which shows he is not the cautious driver people lable him as and also that you can overtake a lot without crashing.

As for the question in the poll, I'm not sure. They should investigate every incident. I assume they were in touch with the McLaren pitwall and they said they had no qualms with Kobayashi.
