yes, but being a successful manager (at a certain level) doesn't mean that he isn't a complete and utter **** of a person .

I still remember him whining about us putting out a weakened team against QPR when we had a CL semi final four days later - a week after he put a weakened team out against United, who were then in a prem league battle with Chelsea, because he wanted to save his team for a weekend game against a fellow relegation struggling team.

The Premier League ensure top six clubs do not play each other on the first or last day of the season, it has been revealed.

This arrangement has been executed for a number of years and also ensures two of the those elite sides lock horns on 26 weekends of the campaign.

Fans have been kept in the dark about the Premier League's strategic scheduling, as exposed by the Times.

WHAT DO 'TOP SIX' AND 'TOP EIGHT' CLUB MATCHES ACTUALLY MEAN?

BREAKING NEWS

Stoke City’s owners have this afternoon promised a “major overhaul” of the way the football club is run, following their relegation to the Championship.

They have also admitted they should have sacked Mark Hughes sooner in the season.

In a statement from Peter Coates the Chairman, and his son John, the vice chairman, they talk of “significant errors that were made in the transfer market”, saying the squad has become “unbalanced” and “has lost some of the core values that have served us so well.” The Coates family have re-asserted their “financial and emotional” commitment to Stoke, and say the summer will be spent refocusing the club, and preparing it for a swift assault on automatic promotion back to the Premier League.

The statement has raised some doubts over the future of Paul Lambert at the club, however, because there is no specific mention in support of his continued role at the top. Sky Sports News understands that whilst Stoke’s bosses have been impressed by his stern disciplinary stance with the squad there remain concerns that the team has won just one out of the 15 games since Lambert took charge in January.

Have they admitted they should have played for a win against us?

10 seconds into the game, Tadic, studs up into the head of Swansea player. Foul, nothing else given.

Not much siff between that and Mane one? Interesting decision.
