Comes down to a cup final next weekend.

All we need to do is equal Fulham's result. Still room for a slip up, but its ours to lose. Fulham at Brum who could still get relegated, Reading at ours who could also still get relegated. And as we all know, no gimmes in this league.

As you say, we've had a good season. I thought Warnock was dreaming when he said we'd make the playoffs (and we might still :emoticon-0107-sweat) and I'd have been happy with that. He's a confident guy and knows his stuff, irrespective of if you like his style. If we go up and he then fails, its worth it for the parachute payments. We'll need 4-5 new starters and 4-5 squad players to have any chance if we do make it.

Good luck to you guys, you deserve promotion.

It happens sometimes.. I think Huddersfield were the surprise team last season.. if I remember we gave them a thrashing just a few weeks before.. it’s one of those unexplainable situations... but a great achievement all the same and well deserved.. no bitterness from me............:emoticon-0121-angry

Cheers to all you guys.

This thread has grown into a source of great football discussion and banter between us and thank God, seems to have left the unpleasnt stuff behind.

In all honesty, if we do go up. I'll miss the board interaction that only fans of teams in the same division can generate. <ok>

Not gonna lie. Cardiff bottling it and then losing in the play-offs is the only way I can gain any satisfaction from this end of the season.

Whoever makes it out of Cardiff and Fulham, you can't say neither deserve it. It's a pretty fair result either way.

That's a fair enough stance from a rival supporter Rob - no problem with that, but why go on and say neither deserve it?

I said you can't say neither deserve it - i.e. whoever gets that spot out of Fulham/Cardiff has earned it regardless of who it is.

Off course he will,if not can we have him next season :1980_boogie_down:

If city want to go for the cheap option Gareth Ainsworth at Wycombe has done very well.

Good on yer Supcon. <ok>

Like you I really enjoy the banter and would love to "drop bombs" as you put it across here but unfortunately not everyone feels the same.

Well you guys can go again next season - but please remember the season lasts a whole season.:emoticon-0105-wink:

As for Warnock, I feel he'll want to give it a go - he already has the contract in his pocket so it's up to him. What's interesting is that once he's got up there, he's never managed to keep a team up there.

What we're all interested in is which way he'll take the club with his new signings. I for one hope he doesn't try to match even the bottom half Prem teams at their own game - he needs to stick with what he knows and instill a seige mentality rather than field a side of egos.
