Who is going miss out on top four finish?

I agree. have done fantastic for a breif spell now can relax.

thye have 3 points gap to 11th so top 10 is such an achievement they have 3 games to cruise through now.

Frnakly Huddersfield look likely to go down if they don't get a result but they are playing chelsea away. they have piss all chance there or v city. they will prob put all eggs in the arsneal final game of season basket.

I would TBH.

Southampton have made 3 clubs very nervous.

West brom are goners (need 2 wins just to get to 34 points so swansea would need to lose all 3 games.
stoke are now goners even though they are loser they need 2 wins to get to 36 points.

Its now huddersfield, west ham,swansea and southampton. and one goes. The magic number to get to is still 40/41 points as southampton can get there.

However... cheslea beat swansea (who put up zero fight at home) and will only play huddersfield out of clubs needing a result.

Hudderfield can buy a win away they have 3 wins away all season and 3 draws. they have lost 4 or 5-0 in big games.

This means LFC cannot look for any favours anywhere.

LFc play Cheslea - if this is a draw its all but game over. Cheslea would need to win by +17 GD over the other two games and LFC lose to brighton


Now.

Brighton. Away form: 2-5-10.... they are second worst team in entire division away. they just don't concede that many but don't score either. classics form for thier manager.

LFC can

a) draw to cheslea meaning a draw or win in last game is enough easily

b) lose to cheslea = must win v brighton. Cheslea need +18 GD over LFC over the final games. (if they beat LFC by 3 or 4 goals then thats a 6 or 8 goal swing)

Should be simple. should already be done but hey... its not so we have to move on.

I spoke to a season ticket holder on Saturday afternoon after he's just got back from the match. It was like talking to MFG or the other negative poster (name escapes me) on here. I said we hadn't done ourselves any favours and that as soon as Salah missed the sitter, you could tell it was going to be one of those games. He said "Yeah. It could turn out to be one of the worst weeks in the Club's history". <yikes>

There was a funny story on one of the LFC podcasts where after our 5-2 CL SF L1 win someone was overhead saying "that German **** got it wrong again" FFS

I think that's a bit of an over reaction tbh.... but the signs are there....

Look at last season in January where we basically ****ed every comp. couldn't buy a win.

it could happen but in clubs history? That's a bit strong.

we need to.match Chelsea result on final day or draw with them and have a decent position in cl.

tomorrow what will be will be. we have salah and they have absolutely nobody who can live with him. If he is not assaulted by them and kicked out of game for just a yellow we can score.

if we score they really go up against it but he is right that the signs are not good. we are out of players.

I actually fancy one us or Tottenham to miss out. Form doesn't lie, both been w@nk.

I just dont see us beating Brighton next week

Brighton have been absolutely awful away.

Tbh last year You could tell coutinho was you g to haul us over the line. Enough players stood up and dragged us over the line.

I have seen nobody in past 3 games stand up and look like this matters.

That's the worry. Maybe mane at best.

It will be on the last day:

Spurs 74 points GD ++

LFC 72 points. GD +++

Chelsea 72 points GD +

Spurs need a point to be sure unless Chelsea do some cricket score.

LFC need a win to be sure but any result matching Chelsea will do.

Chelsea need Spurs to lose or LFC to drop points.

LFC and Spurs (provided they don’t lose) still in the driving seats.

Yeah Brighton do t score many but dont concede either. Our game has to be 200% all in from the off for an early goal cos if he pass sideways and bavk like today we will see a 0-0

Chelsea ****ed up royally but have found this form and have no serious games left.

We shouldn't even be worried here. Defend half decently v west Brom it's over, score v an awful stoke team and it's over.

At one point, about 3 or 4 games ago, some bookies were not giving odds on us getting top 4. Or absolutely ridiculous ones like 1 to 20 so sure were they that we would achieve it. If we don’t get it it will be a collapse of major proportions.
 
well its not settled so all we can do is go win the last frigging game now.

if we don't win well it will be a Pish send off to final.
 
People need to seriously need to think - they expected us to win games against stoke or WBA, but are now expecting us to beat Brighton comfortably. We’ve won 1 in 5.

Wake up.
 
As disappointed as I am in our recent form. Shouldnt we be glad how we are doing and in the actual CL final, rather than be like a lot of teams who strive to be in it year after year to just be in it and never get close to winning it.
 
Am seriously concerned about our current form. How's much of it is fatigue and how much is the departure of Buvac remains to be seen but either way, we've hit a brick wall and simply don't look like winning.
