I sometimes wonder what goes on in Poch’s head!

It was blindingly obvious the way WBA would play. We needed pace, somebody who can go past people. We have one of those, his name is Moura - yet he sits on the bench for most of the game.

Against their tall defenders we needed a tall, heavy CF who’s good in the air - who can also help you out at the back as they pump their inevitable high balls into the box. We have one of those too - Llorente. Where is he? On the ****ing bench while we persist in playing a clearly unfit Kane.

Not good enough by half!...

Rant over!

It seems like Kane is carrying a knock but is refusing to have a rest hoping he'll catch Salah for the Golden Boot. Bit selfish and Poch shouldn't allow that anyway. Weird one tbh.

'Fighting by the Director's box'
Everton 0-0 Southampton

Ronny Goodlass

Former Everton winger on BBC Radio Merseyside

It looks like there has been some fighting in the stand over by the Director's box and the two people involved have been escorted away by security. We don't want to speculate with what has happened but it's not nice to see.

@The Liebherr Legacy pissed up again ffs.

****, it was Moshiri and Fat Sam.

Surely that’ll tell in an under par World Cup performance but then Poch won’t be remotely interested in England’s fortunes. He does seem desperate at all costs for the golden boot which is odd as you say

Yeah he won't catch Mo anyway. Take one for the team ffs. This along with claiming Eriksons goal just shows what he's all about.

I get strikers are greedy etc. But he's taking the ****ing piss now <laugh>

A below par performance is hardly going to stand out in an England squad at a tournament, is it?

Even if he's below par he'll provably be our best player.

He's the only elite player in the whole squad. That's how bad English football has become.

One of the reasons why selling Wembley isn't a bad idea...as long as the money goes into building from the bottom and making facilities etc. better.

Won't matter until they get rid of the old skool mangers who's thinking is ingrained into English football.

It’s the pressure to deliver in the prem, luv. Clubs and their managers are under enormous pressure to deliver results - now! So, they buy and buy ever more expensive foreigners in a frantic game of one upmanship with their rivals.

In a nutshell, it’s about money. Success sells, failure doesn’t.

The Wembley deal that's been suggested seems ridiculously dodgy, to me.
I've more confidence that the money will end up in someone's back pocket than the grass roots of the game.

If the FA want to help the game in this country from the bottom up, then they need to reverse their decision on youth contracts.
It's no longer viable for the non-massive clubs to maintain a worthwhile youth system.

England should look at how the Germans have done it.
