Match programmes haven't been the same since they stopped giving away a copy of The Football League Review with each one. And put the cover price up to a shilling.
Forest Green already put all of their matchday programmes online. I seem to remember reading or hearing that they were one of the first clubs to do so. https://www.forestgreenroversfc.com/games/digital-programme
If only 1% of attendees buy a programme then next season the club will be selling about 50 per game. That won't cover the cost of the sellers' complimentary tickets, let alone production costs.
This is typical that after attending football for 25 years, I realised that I had little to look back on so decided to start collecting programmes this season
With so many player changes from season to season and being an infrequent attender, I buy them at the beginning of seasons..
Might as well do away with the club shop whilst they are at it. BBC Look North tonight, 'all the local sports news' clips and interviews for all the areas football and rugby games, including fc in France, even the ice hockey team, but not a mention of our game. Not even the score given/ It's as though we don't exist.
The AllIam business model already doesn't include supporters, so need for programmes, shops, fans / concessions, tickets, players owned by the club, club name / logo, goodwill ...
