Did a 10,000ft sykdive a few years ago for a local charity. Mental adrenaline rush. But it's so high up that it's kind of absract. Not like standing on the edge of a 100 ft cliff which is terrifying.
I went in a chair lift in s place called murree in Pakistan, @Spurlock you been? Initially thought thus is **** compared to what we have round the corner to us here in UK (I live near Alton towers) Bug **** me if it wasn't all rackety and looked and felt flimsy. Anyway as we were going up this mountainside, and my sister sat next to me was screaming I thought j would jump out at the next "ledge" bit we came to. Lucky i read and speak the language as the next ledge had a sign saying dont jump out as there may be wolves and bears But yeah that lift was scary as ****. Especially as the bar wasn't locked and I'm sure I saw a screw fall off
Yes I've been to Muree..lol you must be off your head to sit on any man made contraption like that in Pakistan.
That's what I was guessing, if it's anything like Jamaica, health and safety goes right out of the window.
I went for the scenery But going around the mountain with a driver who was "charged" and no barriers. Breaking into a sweat thinking about it now I have pictures where the clouds look touching distance as we were that high up Nowadays I go to Lahore and shop
I got on not knowing it was going to go up. Usually these type of "tourist" things are like rides at fairgrounds so short and crap It was an experience, think if my sister wasn't with me I would have been more scared tbh. Her being scared took my mind off myself
The Camel Spiders out in Saudi are horrible aggresive ****ers. This pic can't be real though? please log in to view this image
I did one on Mission Beach, Australia, and yeah it was ****ing amazing! Pure adrenaline but I did have fear basically until I got on the plane. It eased my feelings on height. I've been up on viewing platforms on high buildings since and working off platforms so it doesn't bother me anymore. Best one I've been on is the Willis Tower in Chicago = 2nd tallest in America at 1450 foot. Your ears pop and it generally feels weird as you shoot up 110 stories to the top!
Yeah that's real. Those camel spiders are actually closer to Scorpions, but still part of the Arachnid family. There's some vids on youtube of those ****ers eating small mammals and rodents.
Yeah I'm not so bad on platforms and heights where I know I'm generally safe, clipped in etc. Even the skydive is pretty safe, because you're strapped to an instructor, so you just jump out and go for the ride. It's when there's an element of height and danger that it gets sketchy. There's a place I go to surf in Morocco which is flanked by cliffs, it's a point break so it's long winding right hand wave that breaks into a big horseshoe bay. At low tide you can walk back to the line up along the beach, but at high tide, you have to climb up the side of the cliff and find this narrow little path that the shepherds use to herd their goats between the two villages. It is sketchy as **** because there's loads of loose rocks, narrow precipices and a big drop onto horrible sharp sandstone rocks. Doing this carrying a surfboard too is a real challenge.
