I'm going to take a long shot at this and risk looking stupid. Is it the Welsh Cup Final ? This was first played on the ancestral grounds of Acton Park Hall/Manor (ok. not quite a palace) - actually the birthplace of Judge Jeffreys. The final was played on land donated for the event by the lord, because the Racecourse Ground at Wrexham was not yet ready to host the event. Probably no true - but it deserves to be <laugh>

Early FA cup finals were played at the Crystal Palace, but also at the Racecourse Ground Derby. Something to do with that. They did have replays sometimes at a different grounds.

Yikes I have just re researched this and the first info I gave was wrong! Joy of the internet eh..

The 1886 FA Cup Final was contested by Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion at the Kennington Oval. The match finished goalless, Albion wanted to play extra time but Blackburn Rovers declined, meaning a replay was necessary] The replay was particularly noteworthy in that it took place at Derbyshire County Cricket Club's Racecourse Ground, the first time an FA Cup Final was played outside London. The replay was won 2–0 by Blackburn Rovers, their third successive FA Cup Final victory

So over to Frenchie by default... sorry folks

Two famous men, Winston Churchill and Robert Menzies had a title for almost 40 years between them. What was it?
