In his interview afterward, he was reluctant to commit to another fight. The commentators Kel Brooke and Johnny Nelson told him to bow out now on top saying he doesn't need the money!!
 
What a scrap that was. Took on the 'pride of birkenhead' in his own back yard and knocked the **** out of him to become the new Commenwealth Champion in his weight bracket. Not many more famous Hull victories in scouse land then this. Well done Tommy, you deserve some local recognition.
