This has been mentioned in another thread but this is the first time i have actually noticed him avoiding questions. The one that the interviewer asked about transfers he didn't even mention transfer he just told us what had happened already. Also he keeps going on about a winning mentality and his other little cliches. Not moaning at the result just that other managers seem to give more honest opinions and tell the fans what is happening. But on a brighter side 12 points from 15 isn't bad i suppose
I prefer the cliches. I expect he's feeling a tad frustrated because we just lost a winnable game. Cut him some slack, he's very honest, but probably can't be arsed this evening. 4/5, a bloody great start to life in the champ. Thanks Nige.
i would have taken 7 from 15 but this is one of the improvements i would like nigel to make his communication with the fans
how do u no he hasnt been told to keep quiet about transfers it could be a tactic from him and cortese
Great start from us, we should be proud of our squad as a group for keeping the competiton for places so competitive. I think we will add one or two more faces in the remaining time of the transfer window, maybe on loan. Adkins is disappointed that with all the chances that we created, we didn't manage take one more due to Schmeichel's great form. I think we'll rotate the squad at Swindon on tuesday and give our great team a rest because we've played the same team every week, except Seaborne who didn't play for us against Leeds. The reason he was quiet on the Transfer situation is because we like to do things behind the scenes, in the right way. I still have faith in Adkins and NC to decide whether we are ready to take on the league, until january. Come on guys, we've had a great start to the season. A loss at Leicester is nothing to be disappointed about considering the amount of money they have spend.
I wouldn't know because I wasn't there. but it would seem that we were all over them for second half and the first half we just gave away sloppy goals and that was our downfall today i'm afraid.
yeh we were all ova them for the 2nd half, We were very slow starting today, might have had summit to do with the team only coming too warm up at half past 15 mins after the leicester team ??
We always seem to be slow coming out to warm-up. I think its because we have a team talk before and after warming up on the pitch. Looks like it has done good so far, except for today obviously.
After the first 15 minutes we looked the best team for the rest of the match we just lost the game in the first 15. Didnt help the ref giving there 3rd when lambert was clearly pushed
Seems like he was. We can't choose the refs decisions at the end of the day. But still giving sloppy goals away will cost you points, now we've got to find a way to not concede them.
Doesn't mean that we shouldn't beat them.Whoever we play we must compete. We had to lose sooner or later,oh well.
Wasn't at the game today but to lose 3-2 away to a good side has no shame in it. To score 2 away shows we were competetive and by the sounds of it we were unlucky not to get a point at the end! As stated, 12 from a possible 15 points is amazing! Okay 15 from 15 would be awesome but we needed a leveller some time or other! I hope we can get back to winning ways after a defeat just like last season (granted it won't be as easy). Sounds like DS didn't have the best of days in the office, so this could act as a catalyst to really push the boat out and get a beastly good partner for Fonte into the building, if it wasn't a priority before. Although the Fontaine/Jemal/Gorkss interest confirms we are looking in that area. No need to panic, let's get back to winning ways on Tuesday against those pesky Robbins!
Having watched the interview I'm not entirely confident we're going to be bringing anyone new in. However if we were to I'm beginning to feel a lot more confident for a top 6 finish. Was anyone else watching on soccer saturday today btw? I was getting so frustrated every time Merson was shouting in the background about us nearly scoring!
