Adkins is a lege! Plus loosing to Leicester is not that bad... get a win against Forrest and we could be top again...simples!
Was at game today!! We looked very dangerous when we got in their half, Lambert was poor imo though. Very vulnerable at the back, Cork at RB was superb 2nd half but that is not where we want him to play. We need at least one new signiing to strengthen back 4....couldn't fault attitude of team, unlucky to come away with no points but all 3 goals were soft....
Is Adkins dishonest or positive? If you've got nothing good to say then don't say nothing, only Adkins has to say something. From the various leaks we get from other clubs we know we're in the market for a centre back, but you don't get the players playing for you if you slag them off. Adkins gives the positives to the press and looks at how well Seabourne played the ball out of defence today. Would you rather him say Seabourne looks likely to drop at least one clanger every game, Martin is too inexperienced and Jaidi is past it? Hardly the way to build team spirit or would you like Paul Jewell or Neil Warnock in charge?

Very difficult to face the press immediately after a game like that when you know your team should have really got something out of it Was also at the game and a pretty good summing up above. I see Seaborne has come in for flak but I didn't think he was any worse than Fonte on the day who made a rare error for their first goal. I am a Seaborne fan but am aware of his limitations: however him and Fonte definately compliment each other as a partnership. I got the impression the Leicester players had been told to try and get at them straight away and on the day, it was obviously a successful tactic Other teams will have seen that and not withstanding further defensive signings, I'd be tempted to start certain away games with Schneiderlin patrolling in front of the back four as we looked horribly vulnerable at the start. However, I thought we responded well and in the second half there was only one team in it: we played some lovely stuff cutting through them at will and Leicester were stumbling around like a punch-drunk fighter, de Ridder looked very dangerous when he came on Onwards and upwards !!
Solent guy says to NA "You could do without the Carling Cup game on Tuesday as you should be ringing around trying to sign players", NA's reply "Why? We want to get into the next round of the Cup" What message are you getting from that?
Utter tripe, you were completely outplayed in the first half and Davis kept you in it. We should have been 4 or 5 up by then - including a blatant penalty. Second half, you lot were outstanding however and we really hung on. Adkins didn't give us credit for the first half at all. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season.
And not helping the fact that about a minute or so before, Schlupp was clearly bundled over for a clear cut penalty or Lambert fouled our guy on the way to the shot by Connolly - which led to your second from the corner. However, you were easily the best in the second half.. but first half.. no way.
Not only was it a beautifully timed challenge from Fonte, he took the ball and calmly dribbled the ball out of defence to set us off on another attack. Leaving Schlupp chewing the grass and twenty thousand Leicester fans desperate for a referring decision to help there expensively assembled team from being on the back foot
You must have been behind the other goal as the away section by the drummer boys had a nice side on look and could see Fonte hook his foot round and pinch it off his toes. Just because a player doesn't stay on his feet doesn't mean it's not a good tackle
Just watched Adkins interview. Not used to seeing him down, but we all must remember that we didn't get any points but we were not played off the park. Playing like that we will beat a lot of teams in this league. Luckily, we have a game on Tuesday which gives us a good opportunity to turn things round. I'm sure the lads have been debriefed on the Leicester game and have now mentally moved on.
