Pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after a accident had occurred having crashed into 3 cyclists then driving off at speed before crashing into a pump at a petrol station....

Surely that merits a custodial sentence....or would for anyone else....could easily have been a death by dangerous driving or DUI ......yet it appears not

Unfortunately not:
Drink drive - 18mth ban plus fine (12 mths if you accept the training course)
Drive without due care - range of options but usually just points and fine
failing to report collision - ooints and fine

Early guilty plea and and a quality barrister to put up your defence will also reduce penatly too

short of dangerous driving, death by dangerous driving, multiple drink drive offence, it is rare to get a custodial sentence for traffic offences these days - sad state of affairs given amount of deaths and serious injuries through driving offences
 
What an idiot this guy is, I thought when he was at Man U he had a real chance to make it. I seem to remember him scoring a worldie against us the last game of the season when he was with Man U.
 
Lock the ****er up. Hate it when a ppl get a lighter sentence just because they're in the public eye.
 
An absolute pillock just like that aunty deck or whatever they call him, scum of the earth.
They should be stripped of any wealth they have gained.

So they should lose everything they've worked for? And be thrown in prison? And have to live with the guilt? We aren't talking about hardened criminals, we're talking about people who have ****ed up.

We have been spared such pain, but many have not, so just imagine, If one of these selfish scum drove over a young child or grandchild belonging to you would your attitude still be the same.
