Most posters on the PL board dont give a crap about ihim being a mod, just a few of you.
Stop crying and carry on as normal.
The banned one cause us to have a mod here, go blame him, not the mod.
It's not simple. GC for example had Jip as mod and they all agreed that appointment, most boards have a mod that people were fine with. Why should this board have a mod that causes conflict from the start and why do we need a mod when we've existed without one with very few problems?
Recent events aside this place was fine
To be fair, it pretty much will be.
When I first took on the mod role on the Hull City board, I thought I knew best, and caused a lot of ill feeling until the board users put me right. I was interfering far too much, albeit I believed for the right reasons. I thought 'I'll show 'em', and cut back moderating for a while, and the board improved no end.
Point being, I learned through listening and experience, that poking my nose in, is the worst thing to do, and it all works better if users sort it out among themselves, but it helps if there's someone at hand if things go too far against the board users wishes.
If I abuse this, I'm under no illusions that brb would ban me without hesitation.
Not blaming anyone, I'm simply saying we're no further forward with a mod and unless we apply self imposed restraint this place will continue to go downhill.
Some have amply proven that they can't show self restraint.
There are mods. Let them mod and the rest get on with posting. Simples.

This board was fine until recent events and didn't need a mod. The reasons for it getting a bit odd lie with a lot of people and not all of them are banned.
dmd hasn't caused a jot of conflict as mod. The conflict is coming from stan the snide and his crying chums. You are creating an argument from a problem that doesn't exist except in their biased heads.

There’s always been a different set of rules for GC. Most of us have just accepted that. But, as luv says, this board ran perfectly well on a self policing basis until people started whining and cry arseing to brb.
Now he’s gone OTT. Banned users for trivial reasons, alienated some top posters.
As I put before, none of this had to happen if some people just grew a pair.
If I was brb the rules would be simple. If you come crying to me you’d better have a ****ing genuinely good reason or it’s you that’s getting the chop!..

Why do we now have a mod on the PL board?
Some will say that self restraint was thrown out of the window once a mod got heavy. I don't want to get into that as the will be a difference of opinion but if we were asked to go back a few months the plane was fine.Some have amply proven that they can't show self restraint.
There are mods. Let them mod and the rest get on with posting. Simples.
Having brb on here a lot or an appointed mod will mean that it'll continue as it is now. It will not resolve the issue it will mean that the board stays like this.
So now you want to also decide on people's post count and how many they need to make in order to validate their opinion?

I honestly believe that you are creating a problem that doesn't exist. Just make your usual banter threads and you will see.
As it was previously, I barely looked at the other threads and stuck to the politics one. I don't see any reason why I'd change from that, and I'd only need to look if people flagged something, so the board can pretty much be as you want it.
