Quite simple

Goals

We dont have a qua;ity striker or anything close to that. Supply is limited, Jonas can't cross, and no right sided player standing out. Ben Arfa on the sick again

no suppy+no quality up front = no goals

the only affordable option for us is probably Bendtner (asuming Sammy goes to Barca), not suited to arsenal's style of walking it in, but would add presence and power for crossed, and holding play up. Should have picked up a bit of quality on the ball while at Arsenal too?
 
Stating the obvious , but you're right we don't have a quality striker who can guarantee us goals and that is a concern. However I do live in hope , probably false hope that we will sign a striker before the window ends. We've been heavily linked with Maiga and Nolan Roux and I would welcome any of these two with open arms.

However I think you're being a little harsh on our midfield and supply. Jonas' deliveries have really improved and we've got players like Cabaye , (**** I nearly said Barton) Marveaux and as I already stated , Jonas. These are players who have flair and are very creative. We've even got Ben Arfa coming back from injury soon and I know it's been said a thousand times , but he'll be like a new signing.

So to sum it up , we need a left back and perhaps another right back. Someone to replace Barton , Barnetta for example and a quality striker who can guarantee us goals. If all these happen , I will be in a better mood than I am now.

Think Erik Pieters is nearly signed up so left back is nearly sorted. Just Maiga/Toivonen/Roux and I'll be slightly happier , but still miffed about our transfer dealings this summer.

Pieters is as complete as Melvut Erding

strikers listed are an issue given none have EPL experience

Maiga - poor goal scoring record
Toivonen - 25 now and little sell on value which seems to be a pre-requstie, ergo little chance
Roux - on the surface the goal to game ratio looks good, but most were in the French second division, which is the standard of league 1/2

We are back where we started, Mr Bendtner

Bendtner's form is hardly any better than the 3 aforementioned ones though?

**** it , I'm going to make this very simple.

I want a striker. Any striker. Just not Carlton Cole.
