I believe Selwyn Froggitt was written by our own Alan Plater? So a bit of a Hull (and City) connection. Over the years many people who i have worked with use the phrase “magic our Morris” and this has just reminded me where it came from. Rip Bill
The MOD said: 'It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm that Sergeant Matt Tonroe from the 3rd Battalion the Parachute Regiment was tragically killed in action whilst on duty in the Middle East on March 29, 2018. 'Sergeant Tonroe was born in Manchester on the 14th of August 1984. He enlisted in the Army on the 27th September 2004. On completion of his initial training he joined the 3rd Battalion of The Parachute Regiment in Colchester where he served as part of the Sniper Platoon. RIP
Two people minding their own on an Easter Monday.... car driven by this 22 year old was seemingly driven the wrong way down the carriageway.. Update on M62: Two men aged 34 and 37 were killed in the crash on the M62 this morning. A 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene for causing death by dangerous driving and remains in police custody at this time. There are road closures in place in both directions of the M62 whilst enquiries into the collision continue.
Was on the M62 at 05.30 this morning. Had to divert onto the A650 to avoid the closure. It was a total whiteout again just like 2 weeks ago. This time I was collecting my daughter from Manchester Airport. RIP Lads.
