Who cares if Barca don't offer as much? What you going to buy with £120k per week that you can't buy with £100k per week? Maybe he would be on the bench but to just accept that and not try is lacking ambition. Players should believe in themselves and that they're good enough. Joining Chelsea would be better than joining Inter; much better league and more chance of winning something. Not much argument on the second paragraph. He is uprooting still though so if being settled was truly the reason then staying at Lazio would make more sense
over 5 years 20k per week = 5million. Now ok in a real country thats only 2.5mil at the end. now ok the 100k = 13 million overall in your pocket. but if you could say ah no keep that 2.5mil i and fine with the 13 mil fine... but the reality is its a hell of a lot of money I agree with you that players ought to back themselves. IMO however theres massive tax avoidance going on in italy. oh and btw i'd actually be shocked anyone wants to go to Spain form italy cos the tax man in spain should be scaring them off.
don't forget Signing on fees , bonus payments ,personal endorsements etc when calculating player "wages"
yes. a free transfer = me me me on all of those. leave with 2 years left on deal. selling club pockets 25mil or whatever. (sans fees to agents if they wanted player shifted) you leve on a free thats 25mil you seek to take for yourself. agents know this so player gets 5 and they get 20
you obviously didn't read what i wrote. I said i doubt Inter are offering more than barca (your indication that he's moving to inter for the moolah). Likewise, i would say its a shame scott parker, scott sinclair, delph moved to the likes of us and city and i'm sure you said that too when you know they aren't ready. Anyway, no one knows why he's moved and it's harsh to call it a wasted career. I suppose you were congratulating Salah for being ambitious when he decided to turn up at chelsea
No. I credited them for believing in themselves. Never moaned about a player moving for money if it's also a step up for their career
fair enough, most people saw otherwise and tbh i don't blame them. Why would a hardworking middling player choose to move to a top club with top players if they are average technically (in the grand scheme of top 4 teams) just to be a squad player. These are the money grabbers for me. They have been paid above their means to be a squad player
The agent of Mohamed Salah has appeared to speak out on the transfer speculation surrounding the Egyptian's future at Anfield. Stories which have circulated online recently have claimed that Salah has told close friends he will remain at Liverpool beyond the summer. Those claims came amid reported interest from Real Madrid in Salah who has already scored 36 goals this season. A recent article said that Salah is in line for a bumper new £200,000-a-week pay packet at Liverpool - and that he had informed friends he would be staying at the club for the foreseeable future. However, Salah's representative Ramy Abbas Issa appeared to deny those claims on Twitter. He tweeted: "We don't discuss career plans 'with friends'." The tweet came after a cryptic message that saw the agent complain about "fake news" on Sunday. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sp.../liverpool-transfer-news-salah-agent-14460132
Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure has had a superb season with the Hornets so far and the midfielder is being linked with a move this summer. Doucoure has been linked with the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham in the recent months and it seems that the midfielder is keen on playing for the Reds. The Watford star has revealed that Liverpool would be the dream move for him. He said (quotes translated by HITC): “Liverpool is a club that needs no introduction. I was impatient to play there, at Anfield. I wanted to feel the atmosphere. For me, it would be a dream to play in a club like this.” The Reds could certainly use a physically imposing midfield player like him and he would be the ideal replacement for Emre Can if the German decides to leave Anfield in the summer. Doucoure could be the perfect partner for Naby Keita at the heart of Klopp’s midfield next season. Not only will he add more power and drive to Liverpool’s play, he is very good defensively as well and he will shield the back four better than the likes of Henderson. It will be interesting to see what happens eventually but Doucoure’s comments will certainly come as a blow to Spurs who are apparently keen on signing him.
Now there's a novel idea - listing the players we're not interested in. Wonder which list would be longer

The difference is footballers won’t be earning at the same rate for decades. It’s a finite timeframe. And I’m sure they’re enjoying their money now
