And Spain were ****ing robbed in having 2 perfectly good goals disallowed. Which strangely never gets mentioned when English people go on about injustices...

Why would an Englishman mention injustices that went in their favour? We're England supporters not members of the Balanced Debate Club.

    **** Spain.

Ahh I see, is the whole point to ignore FACTS in order to allow years of festering bile wallowing to follow?

I wasn’t aware of the rules.

If you want to play that game then you are not talking about facts you are talking about opinions....

As someone who had Netherlands as his sweepstake, I very much enjoyed seeing Spain get paggered.

Are you even English? These rules have always been the rules.

I’m not. They were perfectly legal goals incorrectly ruled out.

I was lucky enough to get to this game and the game against Spain. My favourite England game I ever saw at Wembley. Least favourite was the 1-0 defeat to Northern Ireland when Terry Neill scored. He was our player manager at the time I think

The goals were illegal because the ref said so.

Now do you want 'VAR' or what?

Don't see the point in dabbling, you can spend £5 on drinks and get the same result...

Agreed it was massively disgusting. How any team can become world champions by being that boring all tournament was a disgrace.

I know it's kind of your thing to hate Spain, but that Spain team who won the three tournaments in a row was incredible. The 4-0 final against Italy in 2012 was just a ridiculous display and came against the other stand-out team of that tournament. If you wanted to talk about undeserving tournament winners, look no further than Portugal in 2016. Not sure you could say they were boring since they looked so comical early on, but certainly not a side which looked like tournament winners.

I don’t hate Spain at all. I hate the fawning media ****fest over them and Barca - although strangely not Real or Atlético - and the gushing hyperbole surrounding them as if they’re the greatest sides in the history of football.

If Italy, for example, had been crowned world champions as the lowest scorers in history all we would’ve heard was this stat and how it demonstrates they are ‘anti-football’ and defensive, yet when Spain do it somehow it becomes down to the opposition sitting back to stifle them in the hope of going to pens, the only possible way they could ever beat them. And we’re constantly told Barca in the last 6 years have been the best club side in history despite the fact they have NEVER retained the UCL and have only reached 1 of the last 6 finals. Real retaining it, reaching 3 of the last 4 finals and even Atlético and Juve both reaching 2 of the last 4 doesn’t warrant a mention. If you asked your average football fan who the best team in the world has been in the past 6 years I reckon the majority would say Barca and it ****ing baffles me how people swallow this **** from the media and don’t actually question it.

I ****ing laughed my tits off when the Dutch battered them in Brazil and the stunned media not knowing quite how to react.

PLT is right about Portugal in Euro 2016, they were ****ing appalling and never deserved to win that tournament. They made Greece in 2004 look like Brazil.

They were the ****ter team in every game they played, the only exception being their semi final against the sheep shaggers.
