A transfer study claims Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane would be worth more in profit to the north Londoners than Lionel Messi would be to Barcelona. (Express) BOOM! And there it is! Just as I said it was! Kane - the most valued player in World football, at present.
Comparing "Arry the chin to Messi. Barca brought Messi through the ranks and a have had his golden years, if they were to sell him now they would still be in profit. Your guy would bring in a big fee after being at Spurs since being a youth player, but he's won Spurs a big fat zilch.
Oo! Touchy! Who said anything about winning anything? The article is about profit and financial values. Kane clearly wins hands down. That’s what the article says.
But it's wrong, they're not the same age, one has been mega-successful and the other has won nothing, plus "Arry the chin isn't fit to lace the great man's boots.
Of course, but profit based on them being equal(or thereabouts)in terms of skill, age etc would obviously show Messi miles ahead, Spurs making more profit as he's starting out in career terms rather than coming to the end of his gives a false picture and impression of their true worth.
Profit is based on profit not age or skill. Barca have probably spent more on Messi's wages in the last two years than Spurs have spent on Kane in his whole career. Extrapolate that over the whole career of both players and Messi would have had to have personally earned the club a **** load of money (which he hasn't since the team contributes to all their winnings) to make the difference up in transfer fee.
They are equally as funny as scousers, they have the best player in the league in every position until he wants to leave, then he is easily replaceable
^^^ clearly doesn’t understand financial matters, or indeed what the article was alluding to*. *which was that Barcelona have invested a lot of money in Messi over the years in wages and win bonuses, so if they sell him they would only recoup their outlay and not much in terms of profit. Spurs on the other hand have only had Kane for a few years, pay him little in way of wages and nothing in win bonuses, so if they sell him there is little to recoup so more profit.
You mancs are just as bad, paying £89m for a player that left OT for £1m?, saying he's "world class" Not to mention Mourinho giving more game time to SAF/Moyes and LvG signings while his own expensive buys litter the subs bench.
Wow, I just pointed that out to an irate scouser but for a different reason (he thought they were being compared as payers)
Name and shame mate Just shows Jose picks players that are trying/performing and not just his favourites who he bought
