The previous 20 seasons, mate? They are marked by Wenger’s failure. I’m surprised that you insist on lingering on that point. It’s an embarrassment for us North Londoners, best forgotten. It’s the next 20 seasons that I think most of us are looking forward to with more optimism. It must be something of a relief for you knowing that Arsenal won’t have to embarrass itself merely making up the numbers. I respect the fact that you can never admit that, so I am not going to press the point.
Which didn't answer the question. It's okay mate, I'm just toying with you. You won't answer because you know it will humiliate you
All well and good, except that the worst Arsenal side for decades has won 3 FA Cups, while the best Spurs side for decades has won... ...I don't know, remind us again?
I don't think Poch is interested in all that....he's not a fan sat in a pub...he's more interested in what we are aiming for. I don't really understand what the big deal is? Everyone seems to be up in arms...it's not as though we don't take the cup seriously and it is not as though the Champions league places don't hold more weight in European football than the domestic cups. Arsenal have won 3 cups yet want their manager gone, we haven't yet we are happy with how things are going at our club. It's obvious to see why.
If you're sat in the Pub having a chat with your mates, then maybe Rest of the world knows, FA cups or not, we are the better team.
So why are 80% of the Arsenal fanbase, Wenger out? Is it because you're not happy with the types of pots won? Did Wigan have a better season than all the teams that finished above them, even though Wigan won the Cup but got relegated? You wouldn't want Wenger out if he had bagged you the league or CL in recent times and that's the point Poch was making. The league and the CL are what it's all about...you can see that for yourself. Pots are always nice but only a few are the ones that elevate your club. Sevilla win the Europa 3 times in a row...no one gives too many ****s and they are not talked about alongside the big 2 clubs in Spain.. So I get the point Poch is making about elevating a club to the standards of modern football
I know he's not a fan sat in the pub. Me neither, having travelled the length of England to freeze my bollocks off while getting outplayed for the first 45 minutes by Wigan yesterday. That's the League 1 Wigan who knocked City out btw. I'll put Pochettino's disrespect for the FA Cup down to his being Argentinian; the most romantic knockout competition in sport is not part of his DNA. As a Tottenham fan, it really should be part of yours though. Shame. (I'm just yanking your chain btw.)
Yet you haven’t won **** All, which is the point. Newcastle under Keegan were better than United under SAF one season yet won **** All, remembered only for failing and Keegan’s meltdown. Spurs without a trophy aren’t a better team than Arsenal - yes you will finish above us in the PL, but if you finish 4th or 5th and we win Europa League then we will be better team.
Has @Hoddle Is A God even apologised for these two leaving yet? Regardless of all the bollocks surrounding it, if it wasn't for him they'd both still be here.
I think it will be a United v Saints final this year - good for the romantics but Jose will ruin it by parking the bus and trying to win on penalties
I'm sure you'd take Southamptons last 6 seasons in the PL over Wigans FACup triumph and subsequent years in the arse end of the football pyramid. I love the FA Cup...I'm just understanding what Poch was saying with regards the game today. Stop being a Yanker
