Poch made the valid point that winning the FA Cup does not elevate your team to the Elite teams...that's winning leagues and Champ Leagues. He's right and proof of that lies at our dear Neighbours who still can't wait for Wenger to leave and have the worst team out of the top 6. That was his point and he is spot on. His aims are a bit different to the PL posters of other teams, that's all.

A trophy is nice to win...he did not say it's a trophy we are not interested in, 2 semi finals in 2 years suggests we are very interested and yesterday we had a very strong team out.

I don't think Poch is interested in all that....he's not a fan sat in a pub...he's more interested in what we are aiming for. I don't really understand what the big deal is? Everyone seems to be up in arms...it's not as though we don't take the cup seriously and it is not as though the Champions league places don't hold more weight in European football than the domestic cups.

Arsenal have won 3 cups yet want their manager gone, we haven't yet we are happy with how things are going at our club. It's obvious to see why.

You wouldn't want Wenger out if he had bagged you the league or CL in recent times and that's the point Poch was making. The league and the CL are what it's all about...you can see that for yourself.

Pots are always nice but only a few are the ones that elevate your club. Sevilla win the Europa 3 times in a row...no one gives too many ****s and they are not talked about alongside the big 2 clubs in Spain.. So I get the point Poch is making about elevating a club to the standards of modern football

I'll put Pochettino's disrespect for the FA Cup down to his being Argentinian; the most romantic knockout competition in sport is not part of his DNA. As a Tottenham fan, it really should be part of yours though. Shame.

Yet you haven’t won **** All, which is the point.
Newcastle under Keegan were better than United under SAF one season yet won **** All, remembered only for failing and Keegan’s meltdown.
Spurs without a trophy aren’t a better team than Arsenal - yes you will finish above us in the PL, but if you finish 4th or 5th and we win Europa League then we will be better team.

I'm sure you'd take Southamptons last 6 seasons in the PL over Wigans FACup triumph and subsequent years in the arse end of the football pyramid. I love the FA Cup...I'm just understanding what Poch was saying with regards the game today.
