Sorry if anyone’s already mentioned this, but city’s fixtures from the start of April having drawn Liverpool in the CL are now very interesting.
Prior to these fixtures it’s:
United V Swansea
Everton V City
Then City’s fixtures are as follows:
4th April: Liverpool CL (a)
7th April: United PL (h)
10th April: Liverpool CL (h)
14th April: Spurs PL (a)
It makes you wonder what Guardiola will do here in terms of rotation (presuming they beat Everton) and I guess a lot of it will depend on how united get on against Swansea. There’s no doubt about it that City will hope they can win the league against United.
But at the same time, even if united win at Swansea, and takes City 1 more game (against us potentially), will we face a strong city side, despite having played 3 difficult games a matter of days before? Or will their best players be rested against us, as they have a further 6 matches to get that 1 win they require?
If the league is won in city’s home match against man united, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see us come up against a very different Man City side, simply to give as many players a break as possible.
Here’s hoping Swansea and get something from the United game. Fingers crossed.
Thoughts?
