Sorry if anyone’s already mentioned this, but city’s fixtures from the start of April having drawn Liverpool in the CL are now very interesting. Prior to these fixtures it’s: United V Swansea Everton V City Then City’s fixtures are as follows: 4th April: Liverpool CL (a) 7th April: United PL (h) 10th April: Liverpool CL (h) 14th April: Spurs PL (a) It makes you wonder what Guardiola will do here in terms of rotation (presuming they beat Everton) and I guess a lot of it will depend on how united get on against Swansea. There’s no doubt about it that City will hope they can win the league against United. But at the same time, even if united win at Swansea, and takes City 1 more game (against us potentially), will we face a strong city side, despite having played 3 difficult games a matter of days before? Or will their best players be rested against us, as they have a further 6 matches to get that 1 win they require? If the league is won in city’s home match against man united, I also wouldn’t be surprised to see us come up against a very different Man City side, simply to give as many players a break as possible. Here’s hoping Swansea and get something from the United game. Fingers crossed. Thoughts?
The same that Guardiola's done with rotation for the rest of the season: field the exact same squad, to the point if one of that squad is unavailable he'll only pick six players on the bench, and be thankful for the combination of luck with injuries and the chasing pack all conspiring to drop between 6-10 points more than they would need to actually push them.
What cobblers does Pardew tell the owners when he applies for a job,I wonder? He must have the gift of the gab.....or something.
They have been excellent, playing to a clear game plan, but Soton cannot be that bad for another 45 surely? I know who I'd rather face in a SF!
The defender on the line was so busy holding the shirt of the bloke he was marking that he couldn't move to block the shot. Stuff like that and not looking at the ball from corners, does my crust in. Stop the 'Leicester wrestling' and bloody defend the ball.
Matchwinner against Citeh, Grigg has looked every inch a third level footballer this afternoon unfortunately.
Mo another Messi in the making.....a short assed left footed midget.Tackle him and he's over....let him go and he scores!
great support from Southampton fans today...especially their chanting the name of Gabbriadini after he missed the penalty
so ... Chelsea red cards...Conte meltdown...last minute lesta winner would make my rotten cold better... so a comfortable Chav win is on the cards
Would actually rather just see a completely pathetic performance by the Chavs and Lesta winning by 4 or 5. Hazard, Willian and Azpillicueta to see red would be the icing on the cake. Feel for you re: cold. Had a gruesome flu bug all week - left now with a death rattle cough
