Could be wrong but I thought the so called "rant" was an intention to stay I personally never like mourinho and didn't want him as our manager. Heard about the "rant" and came to same conclusion as some on here ie he is a gonner Watched the "rant" on mutv and tbh thought he was bang on.
I thought that we was just making excuses and blaming other managers, honestly. Utd did **** in Europe under van Gaal and Moyes, so it's their fault, for some reason. He's spent ****loads of money, was in pole position against a side with a worse "heritage" and got it all wrong. Did what he always does when he loses and makes some headlines to distract from the performance, while acting classlessly. He spoke like he'd taken over at Stoke or something, not at one of the biggest clubs at the world with some of the most expensive signings. Here's the interview, for anyone that missed it:
As I say I heard about it initially and automatically thought "uh oh, here we go". Then I actually watched the uncut version on mutv around 10:30 last night and it was nothing like it was being reported IMHO I think some of his stuff gets lost in translation but he explained that too. I thought it was quite revealing and not like mourinho of old and could mean he is at utd with the intention of being there long term. We will see I guess but the Rafa rant it certainly wasnt
I want so much to despise Mourhino. No true Spurs fan can ever forgive him for laughing on National TV at us, after Chavs scuppered the Willan deal. Then again, he did deliver quite possibly the greatest put-down in football, when he said that Wenger "specialises in failure." So, the bloke isn't all bad.
Funny I don't like Jose but I agree with most of his rant. The fans of this club are right to put pressure on the players it will weed out the ****e who can't win trophies. Why do Spurs never get shook for making a bad signing? It's because there's no pressure on Spurs to deliver silverware. Imagine if United had signed ****ehawks like Sissoko and Lamela. Is Dele Alli a better player for Spurs than Lingard has been for United? Dele can hang his hat on a few more goals, where's his trophies? He ain't got any. Dele is a £100m player according to many yet Lingard's £100k weekly wage is a joke. Salah is the best signing of all time right now, forget about developing players like Rashford they don't count, it's just signings that count. That's why Pep's the biggest winner. ^^^^Rattled
Arent you leaving to set up a new forum? I am glad that Wenger has been such a failure - 17 major trophies in 21 years is really **** isn’t it when you compare it to the massive haul that Spurs have in the same period
What are you counting as "major" trophies, bearing in mind the money that Arsenal have spent on wages over that 21 years, and the fact that major clubs like Bayern and Barca don't count the FA Cup as anything more than a tin-pot club?
Arsenal have been very successful under Wenger but where does 17 major trophies come from? I thought he won 3 league titles and 7 FA Cups...which makes 10...I ain't knocking 10 trophies in 21 years cos we have only won 2 trophies in 19 years...but I don't get what the other 7 major trophies are.
What we have spent on wages has given a good return in terms of trophies. What have Spurs spent in wages and what have they won - **** All. Bayern and Barca dont count the Costa Del Sol or the Norwich Hospital Cup as a trophy either, yet Spurs list their wins in this illustrious tournament on their Honours board! FFS
With respect, you have failed to answer my question. What you count as “major” trophies would be laughed at by the teams that Wenger has tried, unsuccessfully, to emulate.
I did...you have won 3 league titles and 7 fa cups...so you ain't won 17 major trophies in 21 years...so you are a liar liar pants on fire mo fo
He said that a few months before Wenger went on to win the first of 3 FA cups in 4 seasons It was a **** up along the lines of those that you make, so it's no wonder you're kissing his arse over it
