Until a couple of seasons ago I was adamant that you had the better owner. I think he used to be emotionally invested in Sunderland and wanted to see it work but that he gave up after being let down by people he thought could do a job for him. Ashley is a twat but he has always put the financial viability of the club first and whilst it's frustrating for fans it does have it's positives I guess.
Now Short just has no interest in his toy and doesn't even seem bothered it's going to the wall. I haven't given up hope the team can somehow cobble together a 21st place finish though, the other clubs around are terrible but it's going to need 10+ points from 9 games which does look bleak given the season so far. We're not talking about playing like Man City here though - play like Millwall and Fulham have in the last couple of months or even Hull in the last couple of weeks and you'd be fine.
