So Ned has no expectation of being made a new contract offer (...subtext:-that he is willing to accept...I would imagine)
Surely the same is true of Robinson

So our best two CD are out of contract in the summer....and no rising stars upcoming...we will have Hall (who is good but injury prone, Perch and Baptiste)....just when I was getting happier

Absolutely disgraceful two quality players who could both still play premier league

The club within is totally lost
What I saw looked a shambles at times
I won’t accept that everyone is working hard
Everyone is on a career path ... the same with the entire nation lost and divided

Spring needs to come quickly

It wouldn't be a surprise to see Onuoha let go (isn't he on £60k a week?), but it would be a great shame if we can't hang on to Robinson, who must surely be on a much lower wage.

It's a bit disrespectful to a player who has served us well. Really hope there is something in the works ref Robbo.

Ned must be one of the highest earners but I'd be surprised if he was on that much still.

Not offering Ned a new contract is a big mistake. At times he has marshalled the defence when otherwise we would have crumbled. Talking from experience, he is a nice bloke too. My MOTM on more than one occasion this season. Epic fail.

I admit that I am surprised.

I thought that the Club would offer and tha Ned would accept a new contract with a lower wage - a loyal "won-win" solution.

Obviously my thinking was too idealisitic and naive!

Isn't it early days yet? it is not quite certain yet which Division we will be in next season.

Not too early to be planning for next season
We are too **** to go up
There's enough **** below us to stop us going down
Relying on **** to save you can be messy. But there is enough of it that some planning ought be starting now.

Back in January, I am sure that I read somewhere that Burnley were a club that was interested in Ned. With that being said, and that the club should probably have offered contract a bit earlier maybe New has decided that it is time to move back to the top flight.

I also read that Sheff Utd. are interested in getting Robinson on a free in the Summer.

It would be very hard to lose Onuoha & Robinson this summer & extremely difficult to find replacements of that quality for the amount we will pay for transfer fees & wages.

However, I don't think that we can realistically offer them new contracts on improved terms & I expect that they can receive better offers elsewhere.

The hope with Ned is that he wouldn't like to finish his career sitting on a sub's bench, so it is probably easier to offer him a contract of the two.

We have reduced our wage bill drastically, but we still be required to carry on doing this next season.

Now that we are shopping in Lidl for players, Onuoha is a waitrose player for us and out of our bank balance.
Agree he should be offered a contract we can afford for a player of his experience and it will be his choice to accept or not.
Perhaps, just perhaps, the board don’t believe the manager has kept us up yet; and don’t want to be playing Championship wages in League 1 if it were to happen!

What’s the difference between Waitrose and Lidi? (Never been to Lidi and don’t remember if I ever went to Waitrose).
