Nothing on SSC on this. If someone on site sneezes, there's normally half a dozen theories as to what that signifies and nothing goes unnoticed.

Yesterday, someone picked up the fitting of the screen/stadium wrap before the OS posted anything about it. That's worrying or highly impressive dependent upon your viewpoint. I'm going with impressive. My wife and daughters think it's sad beyond words to be this interested.

A while back someone on SSC asked why the thread on NWHL so dwarfed all comparable threads? Nobody had a definitive answer but the efforts of the club in providing such good live feeds and timelapse images was high on the list. Speaking of which, this is stunning and well worth the look...

An article about the pitfalls of moving to a new stadium in The Times....

Mostly, a fair representation of the issues although no club is really like another and nobody mentions that Citeh still aren't filling the council House. This bit was particularly hilarious...

When West Ham United offered relatively inexpensive seats at London Stadium and claimed that they were amongst the cheapest around, Tottenham privately scoffed that the East London club were able to do so as they got the stadium on the cheap.

I'm not sure that it was kept very private...

Or was it because supply outstripped demand?

We have shown that right now our fan base is growing and we had over 68000 ( more than ''new stadium'' holds) for our game against Huddersfield.

The lesson learned is that you can charge the same prices
and when you have all the money up front it matters not
whether the supporters physically plant their bums on the
    seats or not. < attendance : 58,000 >

If you are not greedy, then IMHO supporters will accept
a price increase if the supporter experience (seating,
viewing, amenities etc) are much better than old WHL.

Some things will be less in the clubs' control
(overground between Seven Sisters and WHL etc) .

Most of our games have had a higher attendance than the new ground's capacity.
I think that our cup games will see an increased demand too, as most league games will be sold out, as they were at the old ground.
Sensible pricing will be important for those, though. I think we've got that right for the cups this season, for the most part.

Providing the team is performing the stadium will be full. If one's season finishes before the end of February AKA l'arse, then one would expect a few empty seats.

    Mr AV's been out again...

It's really strange how a change of angle makes the podium behind he South Stand look much, much bigger.

The Mail managing to completely twist the facts regarding stadium sponsorship.....Boys, last time you got Levy'd.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tience-Tottenhams-search-stadium-sponsor.html

The club say that the concerns that we're still negotiating with, weren't brought to us by the agency TRM. So, why would we continue to employ a middle-man that hasn't done the biz and we don't need; a middle-man who would want a sizeable cut of a cake that they didn't shop for, mix, cook or decorate?

Would it surprise anyone if, for our first game at WHL2, the Mail hack assigned to the match was stopped at the gate, handed a pair of binoculars, and told to bugger off to The Shard?

  13. I'd rather most Fail hacks were buggered with a shard!! :emoticon-0130-devil

Right, it's really happening. I have seen roof 'struts' move courtesy of the Time Lapse cameras and a very observant bloke, Nikk7 on SSC...

    http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=549397&page=2787

Despite some scepticism from others, you can see that it's moving as the cables between the 2 blue 'things' visibly shorten, thereby causing the whole structure to lift. You can also see them move along the West Stand. <cheers>

And tonight it is pretty definite that the cables have been tightened.

Quite an increase on the season ticket prices, unfortunately. Totally unnecessary.

It was coming. I feared a bit worse. I hope that not too many are priced out.

It's a stupid move. The amount that it brings in isn't worth it.
The club should be thinking of the future and the atmosphere at the ground and pricing the tickets accordingly.
An extra few hundred thousand just doesn't make a dent in our finances.

The Uli Hoeness quote about Bayern Munich's cheapest season tickets still rings true:
'We could charge more than £104. Let's say we charged £300. We'd get £2m more in income but what's £2m to us?
'In a transfer discussion you argue about that sum for five minutes. But the difference between £104 and £300 is huge for the fan.
'We do not think the fans are like cows, who you milk. Football has got to be for everybody.
'That's the biggest difference between us and England.'

    You had R1 = 36000 * X. Now you have R2 = 62000 * Y.

The club can choose a value for Y that means
the price is fair to all the current/pending
spectators, and still make R2 a hefty increase
over R1 in order to pay down the stadium debt.
