Wow, talk about being hoisted by your own petard. Just shows you that, in this internet age, having an opinion is a dangerous thing. I assume those remarks will now be retracted.

Just goes to show what a great run-in we had, 13 wins out of 15 while absorbing injuries....DTLW wasn't alone but it's a results business at the end of the day

How much at fault is Mr. Adkins?

Here is my opinion:

Originally a very strong Adkins supporter I now find myself losing faith (present me with all the facts you like) - but as an ambitious club who needs to get things done, I do not think Nigel fits. He appears to be carried by Lallana and rambles on about him and Lambert all the time, he almost seems a fan at times.

He uses a lot of cliches and also tends to bat away questions like a politician, at least with Pardew you felt he would let the players know what he, and pretty much what the fans felt. Now Alan left for obvious reasons but I think we need someone in his mould. I get fed up of every interview with Nigel being practically the same and only tend to watch ones by the players now. I don't feel he has a Plan B or a will to win by playing ugly, too much learning from books and not enough from the pitch (yes quote me on how well he did with Scunthorpe but I don't think his face fits at Saints)

No point sacking Nigel now, lets see how far we get and if we win the play-off lottery, but I would not be confident with him in the Championship.

Your thoughts?

It is now open season, shoot me down out your own will.

I can't think why I hadn't given this post a broadside as requested, but I am mighty glad DTLW got it so wrong, no doubt he will be doubting NA's ability to run the side in the Championship, let's hope he get's his criticism wrong again.

I have to totaly disagree with this .... Nigels the best manager weve had in ten years and has is the fastest saints manager to 100 points ....made SMS a fortress(not sure of the spelling?) got us top of the championship at the moment and most of all got us promoted.

IN NIGEL WE TRUST. COYR

Have you watched any football this season?? We've proved in the first 4 matches that we can win in style and we can win ugly.

I can't believe that people are moaning about Adkins. He inherited a squad last year, that was already a month into the season and took them to second in league and promotion - he's started this season with 100% record and put Saints top of the Championship. With that we have broken several club records (winning streaks etc) and Adkins is the most succesful manager in Saints history in terms of games to points ratio. Any discussion that he is the wrong man for the job or he isn't a good manager is quite frankly absurd.
