Don't know how many you have left, but you have a shocking away record at the top clubs.

    We've got 10 games left.
City, Leicester and Chelsea are the only remaining top half teams and Stamford Bridge is the only away trip from those.
Our record there is absolutely appalling, too.

You'd expect to get past Leicester, the other 2 not so much.

Just gottta make sure you dont take the struggling teams for granted.

We play them at Wembley last game so by then anything can happen, usually depends who has something to play for. Given we already seem on the beach since February I’d say they should better their 6-1 of last season

This is not a dig at Spurs as all top flight clubs use the excuse of too many games but I looked at lower league sides and how many games they play with small squads when they are supposedly less fit as well and wonder why premier league sides are so soft. Look at Wigan, 46 games just in the league, gone just as far as anyone else in the FA cup including a round that had a replay and are literally playing twice a week with a small squad. Lincoln last season, got to the quarters of the cup, all their leagues games and the FA trophy for none league sides. It’s just an excuse for me. I guess teams in Europe have more of an excuse than the rest. It’s the Bournemouth’s etc who literally change their squad and bomb out at the third round stage I don’t get

  7. I'm not sure who's making excuses for Spurs?

As far as I am concerned, we've done superbly well, so far. We're still in both the FA Cup and CL, and we are challenging well for a top 4 spot. For a club that is the 6th richest in the Prem, and some way down the ladder in European terms, I'd call that progress.

We drew our first leg matches against lower league opposition, away from home - so what? It wasn't so long ago that 'Pool lost to Brentwood Town at Anfield, but I don't hear anyone bleating on about that. In both our matches, Poch took a chance with most of our second bow, including Llorente who, up until his hat-trick in the return mauling of Rochdale, was looking like a disaster.

Spurs are in a no-win situation with outsiders. We're accused of having insufficient squad depth to be able to fully compete, yet when Poch plays his second bow he's accused of showing no respect for our domestic cups!

I don't think we've done too badly, at all, and I am certainly not complaining or making excuses about anything.

There will always be detractors for Pep because of the nature of the clubs he has managed and the resources they have ...

However ... it's very hard to argue about the way he builds those teams and the football that they then play ...

Man City have been so far ahead of everybody else this season that it is both impressive and a little worrying ... been a while since any team has showed such domination in what is arguably the most competitive league in the world.:emoticon-0178-rock:

The short termism never ceases to amaze me. We’ve had this spectre of domination by a single team for decades now: when Wenger got his invincibles, many said that Arsenal will dominate the league for ages. Same when Mourinho started winning leagues. When City was acquired by the sheiks we heard the same thing.

Just because City are heads and shoulders above the rest this season doesn’t mean it will last. Amazing we are talking about a team which has won the league cup and on course to win the league. This is not that unusual. Liverpool have done that umpteen number of times, Chelsea MU have too.

When and if they lift the CL trophy then we could say this is one of the best teams of the modern era. But not just yet.

Some big games in the bottom half today.

    Saints v Stoke

    Swansea v West Ham

Lose today and I think we'll be looking at the championship.

That saints v stoke game is massive for you. Would you prefer the other game to be a draw ?

Probably always go for a draw but would pick a West Ham win over Swansea as I think they'll be okay anyway.

  17. You can do with the Spanners and Swans drawing, and you beating Stoke, today.

Yeah was thinking the same. Swansea look more likely for the drop. All academic if you lost to Stoke though. Relegation battle is far more interesting than the title race to be fair. <ok>

  20. I was quite confident of Watford winning today. Then my fat ******ed **** of a housemate told me this morning that he has picked us as his selection in the last man standing competition in the pub. Moronic fanny spanner couldn't win a ****ing raffle. If we lose I hope he has a fatal heart attack
