The aim was to get on the pitch and stop the game, the club had obviously been tipped off, as plod rocked up a few minutes ahead of the designated time.

The warm up went okay, but the main event was curtailed, they’ll have to be more careful if they plan anything similar in the future.

Loving the Danny Dyer impression. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

To be fair, even our incompetents would have had little trouble guessing what time anything was liable to happen.

Fair enough
No reason to keep the balls a secret though
That’s a very easy way for people to care dinky show their protest

Really? What about the thousands that aren't going anymore, a big percentage are not going because they disagree with what the Allams are doing. Put those together with those in the ground protesting or on the protester side and I suspect the percentage would be much more against the Allam's than for.
I was only referring to the numbers being vocal at this match and agree that far more are hacked off by the Allams in general and have walked away accordingly

I know a lot of City fans. Not one knew what was going on or was planned. These aren't new fans either. It was disjointed and a one stand protest. Many on here presumably those involved thought it was great - good on them. I thought it was poor for reasons already outlined. To the Allams as stated before, as it was minority participation- will still very much be of the opinion that it's just a noisy minority against them - that's the point. We're not on national tv every week now so it was an opportunity squandered and it wasn't collaborative.

Most clubs when they protest it's full stadium participation. Which seems lost on some.

It’s almost as if that was the plan and they enjoyed being the ‘itk clique’.

I was at a Milan derby once when authorities were trying to crack down on certain fan groups. So in response the 2 sets of fans, between them, organised a protest which resulted in no choreography, something usually celebrated as tv companies show it around the world. They did this by handing out leaflets as fans approached the stadium. The result was every single fan in the stadium - home and away who hate each other - knew what was happening and why.

Hi-tech as **** I know.

Great chant on Friday "We saw you crying down Wembley Way" <laugh>

Protests went very well with widespread exposure on national tv and media.

How can anyone say it failed or was poor?????

Shame they keep dragging these bottom-feeding flaskers to the mic or the phone in to voice their illogical fears and disapproval.

I have yet to meet anyone in real life who doesn't back the protests, actively or passively.

For everyone who threw a ball last Friday, there are many, many more who cheered and chanted as it happened.

Tbf loads of people piled down to the front of the north stand then just stopped, it was obvious what was going to happen even before the plod lined up, truth is they bottled it and then just hurled abuse at the plod when they turned up.... It was a poor effort and just looked like kids who's balls shrunk when It was time to actually get in the pitch

Poor effort?

It got lots of publicity- mission accomplished.

To be fair the consequences of going onto the pitch are severe, it would take some balls to do it.

Your rite it would have, it wasn't the police who stopped it though, they had all piled to the front before they got there. They just didn't finish it off......im pretty sure if one had done it they would all have, but never mind, there's always the villa game
