It’s genetic, not loyalty.
Unfortunately you are right Stan. I cannot change now. Sad isn't it.
I try and save my sanity by telling myself who would want to support a team like Chelsea or Man City oer Man United, who buy their team the best players and win things.
I would....BUT ONLY IF IT WAS QPR...my sanctimonious morals would be out the window, before I could open it

I was commenting on Incenzo’s tweet, not the state of football in general. Everything you write about the state of the game is correct, but it doesn’t change the fact that being a fan of any club that you support through thick and mostly thin is in my opinion akin to being a prisoner, a hostage. We all have Stockholm Syndrome, we are in love with our abductor and will defend them to the end, in spite of the misery they have inflicted upon us.Some interesting responses there but I feel that perhaps the biggest factor in our demise has been the way football itself has changed in the 50 odd years I have supported the R's. Go back to before the Premier League to the 60s onwards and look at the league tables, Champions were Wolves, Burnley, Ipswich, Spurs, Everton, Leeds, Derby, Forest, Villa. We were 15 minutes from joining that list. Much 'lesser' teams regularly made the top five, there's no chance of that now.
The whole essence of the modern game is money and it is destroying the overall competitiveness of the top division so clubs outside the 'elite' are effectively playing for 7th place and beyond that to finish above 18th place. This season the relegation battle is actually much more compelling than the one-horse race at the top.
I think it's fair to say our football this season in many games has reached a new low in quality with the emphasis on work-rate rather than skill which is pretty unpalatable a lot of the time especially when we get results like yesterday.
As for wishing we were Man City? Not really, they're distorting the game to the extent that when a player like Mane gets an 8 week injury they go and attempt to buy a stop-gap player for £65 million and disrupt an opponent's season with arrogant impunity. I sincerely hope Wenger can get a tune out of his team today to do a Wigan on the rich bastards.
Me? I'll continue to support my currently sh*t team through thick and thin, just like I did in 2000 when the buckets were being passed round. Somehow, that period in our history was so much more rewarding as a supporter as we came back from the brink and eventually got up that wonderful day at Hillsborough. We're living on scraps now but every now and then we get memories that just make our support worthwhile. When you have a great win it seems so much better, remember the OBZ moment, those are few and far between but oh so sweet.
Eventually, we will get a manager that actually can build a footballing team we can be proud of, hopefully sooner than later...
And I'm happy that when we went down 0-3 he still went for it, and it ended up 2-5 rather than 0-3.
What alternative did he have? Play for a 0-3 home defeat? I don't give Holloway special credit for that. Any manager would have done the same
I seem to recall Redknapp making defensive substitutions when we were 3-0 down at home to Liverpool.
I had that problem on my phone. After about 2 weeks the tweets appeared again, but I have no idea why.Would one of you tech geniuses help me: I can't read the tweets that some of you are posting. All I see is "Loading tweet...."
Any idea how I fix this?
Thanks.
Having read that twice, I still don't have a clue what you are going on about! My short point is that we are stuck with QPR that can never change. We fed from the golden hand when it was offered and that in turn has tricked us . We all knew it even the mad twats like me ... I rant on but finally know we are only realising we sold our soul
We are the soul that’s my point we do not have to sell out ... we just need to get ourselves back to what QPR means. The club don’t get that they certainly didn’t understand when I went there
Bloody Orange shirts and no hoops they all looked blankly at me when that was raised
They wanted input/service for money and when I said it was free again blank faces.
We will be here long after careers have been and gone ... this is not understood
Hence why I give my support to Holloway
He is one of us at the end of the day as is Sir Les ... useless or not we have to believe
I think there are a few misconceptions in this post. 'We had practised successfully'........well obviously not. BUT the biggest problem I see with his tweet/quote is the following: I presume he meant we were practising individual and team tactics to stop Forest doing certain things. Do Forest do these things we were practising for against everyone? How can you coach tactics for scenarios that have not yet been played out? Just because they did something a particular way in one game doesn't mean they do it every game. Untold scenarios can't be coached!!! Players have to use initiative rather than some robotic set up that might come undone when a scenario doesn't pan out the way you practise for. More important in my eyes is the facination from Holloway of prioritising trying to always stop the opposition above how we actually play. Every loss is followed by 'that's the worst since I've been here'. Of course he will blame the players who in turn will eventually get fed up of him and the dressing room goes. We as fans (many anyway) put the blame on him and rightly so in my eyes. He Would be out of his depth in a rain puddle!!Talking to fellow Rs before kick off yesterday it was widely agreed that Ollie put out the best team we had available and apart from Smyth for Washington, I THINK I am right in saying that it was the same side that won against Bolton. That being the case surely MOST of the blame must be with the players? In the tweet he said that we had practiced successfully on Friday and failed to take those lessons on to the pitch yesterday., How can that be Ollies fault? As for people bemoaning the fact that Ollie shouldn't blame the players publicly (it was rather hinted at than direct IMO), why shouldn't he? All of us that were there yesterday know we were crap. Why should the manager hide the fact? As you know I was all in favour of Ollie becoming manager. My views have changed and think he will go at the end of a very poor season, however he cannot be blamed for everything. A little balance is required. Nuff said.
