Really think the club should consider laying on some free coaches or something for this, especially now we've had today's news.
The BBC have us down as playing on Saturday, but with time unconfirmed. Not sure if this is an error on their part though, because clearly it doesn't correlate with the FA website. (If correct though, they surely the only debate is exactly what KO time between about 11.30 and 1.00)
Minor thing but it can't be later than 12:30 on Saturday as they have to allow for the possibility of ET.
Good point. Although with the possibility of penalties too, I'd suggest that 12.15 is a more likely cut off. I think 2.45 is when televised football has to cease on Saturdays.
Good point about the 2:45pm thing, had forgotten that and now you say it I'm pretty sure it's correct. Imagine the uproar if we're given an 11:30 ko or similar I still think the Sunday 14:30 makes sense if the police allow it... though I'm not sure what time the run actually finishes around the town. I think the stadium part is done by lunchtime but might be too much for police resources.
The Wigan half marathon at least doesn’t finish near the stadium. The stadium is close to the early part of the route. Could be ok by 14:30.
Is there no way they can call on Hampshire Police for extra numbers, if needed? Also, about the ET and penalty suggestion, is there no replay then at quarter final stage?
Harsh. I'd simply declare the competition has been discredited and the Cup is to be awarded to whoever Wigan happen to draw in the 6th Round. Has the draw been made yet?
Bet that £37 train on Saturday isn't available now... How did Swansea and Sheffield Wednesday make a huge difference I'd like to know.
Any season ticket holder that ain't planning on attending able to get me a ticket??? If I had to handpick a time for it to be on all that weekend that would be it!
