TBH I have different acquaintances in the US and they are extremes. So the "muh Russia" crap, when put into perspective seems to be bog standard operation for all of the above mentioned countries.

You live in a country that stores and scruntinises everything you do and say online, ever remember feeling naff about China doing that? How we have been acclimatised to such things.

This all seems lost on many, especially in the US and absolutely on Frank <ok>

Lets not forget the historical context for the UK and US interfering in foreign elections, it is a long history

The US has interfered over 60 times in the politics of other countries. The British state, maybe not 60 but we are talking a lot of times too.

and yes of course interference is their middle names. its part of the power and influence game.

I always find it interesting when gun control advocates omit this glaring fact.

Or that Venezuela has gun control laws and has 5 times the gun death rate of the US per capita.

Every time Obama talked about banning guns, AR15 sales skyrocketed.

Blathering about banning guns has the opposite effect mate, that's a fact.

Quietly enact changes and don't set off hysteria imo. There is still the problem of black on black crime, with illegal guns that kill far more people every year than school shootings.

But.. it doesn't matter, if a loonie wants to kill people he can do it, by making a homemade bomb, or getting into a car and driving up a busy street, and it's not about "kids". The last car attack was in new york late last year killing 8 "people".


Nearly all of the attacks was deranged people, and some terrorism.

The problem is deeper than guns, there are real societal problems where deranged people can just go unnoticed.

In Dublin growing up there were plenty of guns, and shootings and guns are a strict No No in Ireland. We had a higher gun homocide rate than the UK per capita, I think we still do <yikes>

Then of course there are people who are completely sane when they buy a gun and go crazy later on.

In the US now, I'd rather own a gun if lived there tbh.
