Some good lads on the Sunderland board, a real passionate fan base. Those ones don't deserve the ****e being served up. Their home support has suffered as a result, its poor now, not a hostile place at all. It'll be a long fix imo if they go down again.
Well we will find out exactly how big Sunderland are next season, especially when they get relegated again...to League Two
I used to go up there a bit back in the day and they are passionate football people, in a one club City, I’d therefore rather they survived in the Championship, personal innit. That list is bollocks btw
I’d have given him your lot and Leeds in fairness, albeit I pissed myself when those dirty ****s ended up down there, as I can’t stand them. Your lot are a bit beige to me lol.
Yeah I'm only having a laugh mate and I agree with you. Only Leeds I would class as bigger than Sunderland from that list. Everyone ****s over the Toon but Sunderland don't seem to get much notice in that regard for their support etc. Cov and Wigan ffs
Let's not forget i missed more recently, Wolves off that list, and if we talk big in the terms of trophy cabinet even League One Blackburn have won bigger titles than Sunderland Personally I think Sunderland will end up doing a Leyton Orient
I'm so glad you asked ... Southampton even when they were in the Pub League came second...behind their bigger cousins Brighton
Bigger cousins Yeah things haven't gone too bad since though, same as Reading thought they were destined for better things after pipping us to the title the next season
Didn't it take you two seasons to get out of the Pub League?...Sunderland fans will be deserting in their droves if that happens to them.
Is this you trying to get back at us for all that late night entertainment we've given you guys over the last few years? Try not to hold grudges for too long there mate. It's bad for the karma.
Yeah we started on -10 and finished 7th I believe. Then 6 and a bit years later we were playing in the San Siro in an European match. Funny old game. Where were you lot in our second season there? We averaged about 20k I think in the third tier which is pretty good for a club of our size.
Nope...all teams that come down to the Pub League can end up getting the same treatment if they think they are something special? You will find League One a bit of a culture shock. Some adapt to it, some free fall.
We went down, but wasn't that after beating your lot at our place, so basically you were humped by a League Two team and didn't you go on to buy our Pub Team keeper off us
Yeah after this: Gills fans pitch invasion cos you thought beating us was enough to keep you up... but you were wrong after about 5 results went against you on the final day And yeah we bought Gazzaniga off you in the Summer after promotion to PL, bizarrely he plays for Spurs now
To be fair, IF you do come down, I'd expect financially you boys to go straight back up, we wouldn't be able to compete with it, much the same as Wigan at the moment and clubs like Wolves prior to them. Although a lot could depend on whether Hull get dragged down with you, I think that was the problem when Southampton came down and why they had to accept second place after two seasons.
