The demise of the Mackems is costing me a shed load of money in popcorn costs.

I think part of their problem is down to them giving tickets away to try to boost crowds rather than going all old school and selling them.

You ever been to our place, one way in and only one way out...and a lot of open air scaffolding to welcome you <laugh> All coaches have to go down by the station, 10/15 minute walk away, that's where it then becomes the pheasant shooting season ;)

Brb trying to paint Gills in a scary light is funny. Maybe he should be an estate agent.

Trouble is if you want to catch them on the way back you will have to miss the 2nd half of the game. Its the only club where the coaches leave to go home at 350pm.

I think our Walsall match last weekend was only about 4,500 - however, either ST's or £22+ per ticket. When we do ticket deals we get about 7,500 for the same category game. Ground holds about 10.5 to 11.5k. Although due to segregation probably the lower figure. Local matches will generally see 7.5k+ attendance ie Charlton, Millwall, AFC etc. 3rd round FA cup games may see bigger attendance. On average for us about 5.5k. Clubs like Bradford will more than triple that but you have to bear in mind they give their season tickets away for ridiculous prices.

Would that not be the better option, cheaper tickets = full house?

When i say give ST's away i literally mean for about 100 notes for the season. So an increased gate does not mean an increased turnstile finance. I get it from marketing and food side of things. Although we did do two games for £5 a ticket this season but long term that is financial suicide.

To be fair to my club, we have survived while many have gone under and paid the ultimate price.

I laugh at teams like Leyton Orient, spent all that money on the ground, verge of Championship football and now look at them, National League side, they were even fighting off relegation from that, not looked to see if they still are.

I think the National League is even tougher than L1 & L2, once you go down there you are proper fooked.
