    I don't expect Colo to be here next season. He's playing well enough to attract interest, the regime will want his wages off the balance sheet, and he's of an age where he'll want to cap his career achievements with silverware, which he won't get at Newcastle.

    The Barton point is valid as well, who puts their most influential footballer on the free transfer list? Crazy stuff.

    NUFC.com is still my first click when I go online. The first statement about Barton I agree with.

    The Coloccini one is very strange. They usually dont bother with speculation never mind completely creating one from scratch just because Mata went to Chelsea.

    Still No.1 though.

    personally used to go there first of to get my toon news but like you say it's gone downhill a bit i use this now http://geordies.net/ gotta sort the wheat from the chaff like but it saves trawling lots of sites for toon related stuff

    I still go there first, they put stuff on when they know it is happening usually, i.e. if they say it is happening it is. With the Colo thing they said it was their speculation, what is the problem?

    They also have stuff on like today's piece about Situ being offered a contract.

    Its still my homepage on my mobile, as much as the Colo stuff is speculative nonsense the other news is usually balanced and decent. I personally like the format, the main page is nice to glance at every few days and not overly complicated like most, if somethings major it'll still be there a few days later. The main highlight for me though are the archives, especially the match reports which are fantastic and really good for detailed views on where we were at the time. Great site.

    I'm afraid to say that this site dated in terms of look and content - which is very odd given they procrastinate about being forward thinking and 21st century!!

    The reviews are predictable and are written in the same monosyllabic style that went out of style with flares first time round!

    A fresh 21st century approach is required - we aren't talking In-betweener's -an adaptable and varied commentary is required - guest commentators who say it how it is rather than gloss over ****e!
