I believe the new view is that they come alive in the knock-out stage. We luckily got them in their down-time - aka the Group Stages.
I got back from a gig last night and watched the Real Madrid game. **** me, anyone that thinks that there's a diving problem in this country, needs to watch that game. Tony Koros and Neymar looked like 3 year olds on a bouncy castle. Any yellow cards for diving? No, don't be daft. The refs just ignore it I'm all for booking players that dive, introducing sin bins, having retrospective bans and all that **** but having watched Juve [Chiellini in particular] and their mastery of the dark arts and last nights game, it's proof [if it were needed] that Wenger has no idea what he's talking about. Cheating in the PL is at a minor level and we're bloody amateurs. When we play the Real Madrid's, PSG's, Bayern Munich's and Barcelona's, we're in trouble because these blokes have no problem with it and the continental refs have no intention of stopping it. They give fouls or ignore it. When the World Cup comes round, I expect it to be far worse.
It goes right back, if you read Gilzean or Greaves accounts of playing in Europe it was the same in the 60's The standards of refereeing are quite different and it's what makes progression in international competitions so difficult. The current Barca team at the height of it's powers was full of divers and they completely got away with it.
Why hats off? He is acting like an arse in this. The question was in no way unreasonable. It's an example of a mild man holding his tongue for ages and then blowing at an innocent comment.
Because as I said.... it suggested a history between the two of them and Woy had previous of his ‘innocent’ comments....

Pretty sure that we already did, Brian... As for Kroos' diving, I don't know what you mean. He's just trying to avoid a wasp that's attacking him.
A Clyde player has been banned for five games for excessive misconduct, having been accused of making racist remarks. His name? Ally Love!
If Madrid were a car that had a Gifted Penalty function you could switch on/off, it would be marketed as "Kroos control" . Thankfully Kroos control did not cost Spurs the game in Madrid.
If you watch Neimar taking on 10 defenders you know he's going to fall over someones foot for a freekick outside the box for Ronaldo"s benefit. I guess it's all part of the continental game.....
I still can't believe PSG didn't want to pass to Cavani. It's akin to not giving Harry a pass.....you lose!......and they substitute him and then commit suicide. Some one at PSG needs a kick up the rear!
Ooopsie. I only blew about £1500 going to the away game. Ageing is a terrible thing.....you become a bloody idiot.
