Remi Matthews have got 7 clean sheets since joining Plymouth on loan in late October, if we don't have Gunn next season might be worth giving him a chance.

Just read that on the http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...wing-middlesbrough-championship-win-1-5382224
Some interesting points raised and MB/PD from Archant seem to think it might happen.
Also, Oxborough (Under 23 GK) got MotM for the Under 23s yesterday and he did have one excellent point-blank save to keep us in the game!!!

That's a definite possibility woodbine. He's been getting loads of plaudits down here in the southwest. Should Gunn be loaned to us again Matthews could be his back-up and take the cup games.

DF on why he was so keen to get Moritz Leitner on loan - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...-moritz-leitner-real-deal-for-farke-1-5383376
This from the article - He came with the best endurance data of not just all my lads here, but all the lads at Augsburg. He is outstanding. After each training session he is so professional with his nutrition and how he looks after himself and his behaviour. He is always in the gym using the right opportunities to recover.
When you add outstanding ability we should be pleased we have him."

I get the feeling that there is a mood of 'cautious optimism' amongst NCFC fans, but that it could all evaporate if we have a run of bad results in the next 4 games.

Edit - I'd love to see us get 10 (or more) points from those 4 games, but I'll be happy with 7!! :emoticon-0112-wonde

I must have missed this if its been posted elsewhere but Paul Heckingbottom next up for his 4-6 month Leeds stint. It could be worse for him, I'm sure Coleman will be sacked soon so the Sunderland chalis will be available again soon.

Bah!

Makes no sense to me. Barnsley are 3 points ahead of Burton, who are bottom of the table.
Plus with the window closing last week all PH can do is make the best fist of it he can using totally a squad he inherited until the end of the season? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Not wishing to rake over old ground, but why the hell would you sign a player (Matt Jarvis) on a 3.5 year deal when you already had him on a season-long loan anyway.
Sheer lunacy on the parts of all concerned - for which the new regime at the helm is still paying a big price, I'd wager. <doh>

The cynics might contend he got plenty when the Canaries rushed to turn a season-long loan into a three-and-a-half year contract at the start of 2016.
All the stranger perhaps given he was in the midst of an injury lay-off at the time with a knee problem that curtailed a genuinely positive start to his Carrow Road career.

I would have thought you would have done 2 years with an extension for a 3rd max! Especially with someone injury prone!

A great headline on today's MFW - "More than just a football club. Far more. Last Saturday proved it once and for all"
http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...ore-last-saturday-proved-it-once-and-for-all/
An excerpt of some of it - "
The spontaneous rendition of On the Ball City was spine tingling, but the beautiful tribute to lifelong City supporter Michelle Dack was full of emotion to someone who warranted it. Although I didn’t know Michelle personally, she felt like a family member, and in many aspects, she was.
It’s incredible how two colours can unite a mass group of people. Every away game they travel, every youth team game they are there and even in the face of on-field stagnation they continue to sell out Carrow Road. This support is unwavering. Admittedly, there are disagreements, but this football club stands united.
The applause was impeccably observed and contained enough emotion to make even the hardiest soul feel it. This highlighted why Norwich are more than just a football club.
