That's the spirit, Cromer!!! I haven't been happy with the news for the last few days. Losing Middleton was a nasty surprise. If we had sent GM on loan and signed Trybull to a new contract, I would be smiling now. What is TT's problem, why won't he sign a new contract? Wants more money? Wants a PL or 1.Bundesliga team. Then today's injury report. Incidentally why do so many of our players have back problems? Seems like an inordinate number to me.
Well, I don't know how this little comment from today's presser hasn't been mentioned previously - "Daniel Farke confirmed at Colney on Friday Maddison had missed three days training with a hamstring problem and will be a late fitness call for Boro’s visit to Carrow Road on Saturday. Timm Klose is struggling with a heel issue but Farke is confident the Swiss centre back is fit to face the Teessiders. Pinto will definitely miss tomorrow’s game, but should be back in time for the trip to Derby and of course 1p5wich." It will be interesting to see the starting 11. As FML would say - "We're DOOMED!!!!
So if DF stays as Head Coach at CR, he could look at signing Middleton in a few years time and we didn't insist on a 'buy back' clause!!! Full story here - http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/02/0...s-he-could-try-to-re-sign-rangers-winger-gle/
Keeping powder dry would seem to be a good way to proceed, Cromer. My interpretation of "We had to find creative solutions" is different from yours and I certainly don't think it means that we've become a 'selling' club now. Pritchard left because he wanted to go (as did Middleton) as well as it being in the interest of the club to 'unhoard' our surplus of AMs so that we could strengthen elsewhere, as we have done. Replacing Jerome (31) with an in form Srbeny (22) also makes sense, but time will tell on that. We also now have a surplus, which means we now have no need to sell players we don't want to. Zimmerman has already shown how much he wants to be here and Hanley went through a hard time at Newcastle before finding success this year. Every player has a price and all that, but I just don't see them leaving. If a PL club comes in with a £20m offer for Maddison that could happen, but I'm just not convinced any will, whatever rumours the journos want to spin. My powder will also stay dry until actual offers replace the rumours.
So Bolton (who were in the relegation zone prior to last night's game) beat Bristol City who are still in the top 5 , though might just drop out of it after today's games. Lee Johnson bemoans his players' attitudes. Sund familiar???? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42827859
It does ring a few bells, JMF. Complacency crept in and players went through the motions. I've been struggling to choose a line-up this week because of the competition for places, even on the bench, which we were struggling to fill a few weeks ago. That's what kills complacency.
OK, Wales THRASHED Scotland at rugby, but the 25 minutes or so I watched, the ref could have been Hooper in disguise. On another note - Aberdeen had a convincing win, whilst Celtic and Rangers lost!!!!
The guy that refereed the Chelsea away cup game was my highest rated official since the Reading assist that Mulryne scored from . He got
Well, it's looking increasingly likely that Pritchard will be playing in the Championship next season. I've just seen MotD and Brighton and Bournemouth fully deserved their wins yesterday.
So Leeds sack Christiansen after a dismal (winless) start to 2018. Rewind to Aug/Sep and the fans were flocking to Elland Road and Leeds were near the top of the league. #ficklefans
