Nice to see Mkhitaryan getting a chance to play in a system that suits him. Probably too late for Arsenal to rescue a CL spot, but they'll be absurdly fun to watch for the remainder of the season.

I quite like what Liverpool and Arsenal are doing...not necessarily because they're great teams, but because they have set themselves up such that it's fun watching them win, and equally fun when their utter rejection of the concept of defense results in losses. It's wonderful to finally see big clubs embracing what really matters: my entertainment.
But directly in between the two legs of the EL QFs.
I know Wenger isn't known for putting strong sides out in the cups, especially the EL. But if they're in the QFs, it'll almost certainly be a more likely route into the CL for them than the league. As with Utd & Jose last year, he might have to take it seriously come that stage. So play a weak team vs us.
Especially if Arsenal gets turned over by Spurs (and Man City thereafter). Those Europey games will be the most important of their season.

Doesn't hurt that his players think the world of him. Benik Afobe wanted to go on loan back to Wolves, Howe didn't want to lose a useful player, albeit one that didn't start often. Howe changed his mind because he knew how strongly Afobe felt about it, and his desire to see Afobe succeed trumped his desire for striking cover:

Pardiolo just hasn’t had that bounce this time has he? He normally has one, but I think they’ve only won one league game under him.
