Got to give the 2 new guys a chance but will Nigel be happy with that, is that what he was told would be the total sum of his recruitment , doesn't exactly look enough to turn things around - and if it is true that Dawson went to Nottingham then I struggle to see how he can come back and be captain, I hope he didn't , don't blame him for wanting out but have to do things the correct way, will let him off if he puts in a bullet header at the city ground ( in the correct net)

Possibly make Meyler captain?

Back on thread.

So what's going to happen with Dawson now? Club captain wanting a move away from the sinking ship.
No fight left in him ? Disillusioned to the point of leaving when the team needs him the most ?

I think the club and Dawson have some explaining to do.

I think we can see why Dawson would want a move. The explanations should come from those who allowed things to get to this stage.

Meh. I’ve been to plenty of interviews to listen to them, not fancied it, and then returned to carry on doing no work for my employer.

Southend the new Torquay.
Exactly the same for me. When at our absolute ****test on the pitch I made no thought to making long trips to Swansea, Exeter or the annual pilgrimage to Torkey safe in the knowledge that you’d see the same 100 regular faces there (counted 27 at Vetch Field once). Indeed out and about in town you’d see a familiar face and there was a knowing nod between you, it felt like our special club and bumping into highly accessible approachable players in bars and clubs was a further bonus.

I actually feel sorry for those who chose to miss these times and jumped on the bandwagon when Adam and the new stadium arrived. They could never experience the emotions that we did.

What a load of bollocks!

The first word that came to me when I read this was "onset".

This thread isn't going to end well with tripe like that being posted

It’s not bollocks, I do feel sorry for them. Only myself in the entire world can know that so don’t see how you can question it.

Events certainly need explaining if the stories are right.

If Adkins was happy for him to leave when we're criminally short of CB's then there must be a major rift between him and Dawson.

And if Dawson wanted the move then he's obviously not committed to the cause of keeping the club up.

Mind you, who is ?

The owners obviously aren't fussed, the fans are ambivalent, majority of key players out of contract in 5 months.

What a ****ing **** sandwich this club is.

Possibly make Meyler captain?

He can't even make the bench at the moment and can't last 90 minutes anyway - I suppose they could make McGregor captain

We're playing at Forest in just over a week - be interesting to see who Daes warms up with

"They could never experience the emotions we did" So, I can't question your emotions, but you use "they" and "we" so how the **** do you know what others feel, when you only exchanged a "nod" with them. The "nod might have been some signal that they were available for sex as far as you know. Your post is bollocks.

The ones, or the one, the boy wonder businessman, who let it get to this stage regarding his contract is the one who needs to explain. Of course he won't as he isn't going to say it is because he is running the club down
and the fans can go get ****ed.
Though, as you said, the message is Adkins wasn't bothered about losing him which doesn't bode well.

No. But I never missed games in the crap periods. In fact I was keener in a perverse sort of way when everyone was mocking City sliding down the divisions. Also enjoyed the day out, drinks etc more. Our successful period has seen me feel detached from the club in a way I never did even with the awful owners who didn't care about the club back then. Probably down to a disillusionment with professional football in general.
I second that.

Ok, they could never feel the emotions that I did.

Happy now?

Was only 16 at QPR once. And that was when Terry Neill was here and home crowds were decent.
Wasn't the organisation of the away buses pretty **** though? I started going regularly to away games in the last couple of years of Humberside Supporters and they had a low profile. It was like a semi-secret organisation.

When Hull City Supporters Club buses began all of a sudden there might even be two or three buses going to games! This was despite no improvement on the field of play.

How long Grosicki did sulk for when he wanted to go before and didn’t? (Genuine question as I thought he did but couldn’t quite remember)
Will Dawson sulk? I doubt it, but he won’t be happy
Will Bowen sulk? I doubt it

Why would Bowen sulk? He wanted to stay.
Why would Dawson sulk? He's a professional and should know better.

We used to organise our own. Or rather, a couple of lads did. Best one was Bluebird coaches with a great driver who parked up somewhere and met us again at midnight. Always got a good tip to reward him. Normally just our coach or our coach and a supporters club one. Later on Psycho coaches took more.
As you say, organisation wasn't good. Which was typical of Hull. Wednesday had it right. They had a kiosk outside the ground taking non refundable deposits for coaches. They were overwhelmed after a good home performance. Ironically the coach company was called Sheffield United Tours. The Wednesday fan who told me about it would only refer to them as SUT coaches. I had to ask him what it stood for.<laugh>

Used to go to Wednesday games as well eh?
